• Open LinkedIn everyday, twice a day — morning and end-of-day*.
• Read your activity feed and make two meaningful touches where you say hello, congratulate, like or comment
someone on something they have posted.
• Read LinkedIn Today and post one article to your status update from LinkedIn Today or another trusted news
source, look for items that have not been overly posted.
• Go to your groups and check out the latest discussions; read and watch who is commenting, comment where
appropriate. If you have definite expertise even consider replying privately rather than in the feed.
• Connect with someone new [someone you have recently met or have known a while], ask how you can help him
or her, offer to introduce them to someone in your network.
• Cross-reference your prospects and do searches; look for how you are connected and ask for introductions [no
overt selling, look to build a conversation]. Refine your ideal customer profile.
Once or twice a month:
• Add something to any of your applications; keep it current with books, PDFs, events, polls, Slideshare etc.
• Recommend someone without them asking.
