1. Attn: AGS Spanish Students
RE: Café
Dear AGS Spanish I students,
In the Spanish Speaking world and many other countries, cafés are very common. They are a place
where people will stop and relax for a moment or spend hours chatting with friends. Your task for the
next couple of weeks will be to create your own café in any Spanish Speaking country you choose. You
must have a name for your café along with a complete menu for that café. In addition to the menu, you
must have a separate page with a review of your café (promoting your café and convincing people to
come to your café).
Upon the completion of this task, you will be invited to a café that will be set up in the library with
native Spanish speakers so you can practice your newly learned Spanish skills. In order to prepare for
this conversation you and your group need to create at least 10 conversation cards with questions that
you will ask the native speaker and that they will ask you. This will also be a time to display your menus
and café ideas. The conversation café will take place on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 and all of the
materials will be due then.
Thank you for your time in this matter and good luck!
Sincerely,
Winton Woods High School Dept. of World Languages
