▪ Sociological and statistical analysis in Spain
A. Nowadays the greater part of the homes in Spain is developed for an outdated
family model, in which there was an average of between 2 and 4 children.
The tendency mark a preponderancy of households with few members, a fact
that will become worse and widespread in the coming years.
B. In Spain exists, at least, 18.000.000 rooms are unoccupied. The estimated
average of the maintenance cost of a unoccupied room is 200 € per year.
The excess cost supported by households are 2.520€ million per year, that
means a significant economic burden to their owners.
