NimbusML enables data scientists to use ML.NET to train models in Azure Machine Learning or anywhere else they use Python. NimbusML provides state-of-the-art ML algorithms, transforms and components, aiming to make them useful for all developers, data scientists, and information workers and helpful in all products, services and devices. The components are authored by the team members, as well as numerous contributors from MSR, CISL, Bing and other teams at Microsoft. NimbusML is interoperable with scikit-learn estimators and transforms, while adding a suite of highly optimized algorithms written in C++ and C# for speed and performance. The trained machine learning model can be used in a .NET application with ML.NET. This presentation will outline the features of NimbusML and provide a notebook-based demonstration using Azure Notebooks. This presentation is the third of four related to ML.NET and Automated ML. Traditional machine learning requires volumes of labelled data that can be time consuming and expensive to produce,” “Machine teaching leverages the human capability to decompose and explain concepts to train machine learning models direction (teaching the correct answer is not by showing the data for it, but by using a person to show the answer). Project Bonsai is a low code platform for intelligent solutions but with a different perspective on data it allows a completely new approach to tasks, especially when the physical world is involved. Under the hood it combines machine teaching, calibration and optimization to create intelligent control systems using simulations. The teaching curriculum is performed using a new language concept - “Inkling” and training a model is easy and interactive.

Azure Machine Learning 101 slides which I used on Advanced Technology Days conference, held in Zagreb (Croatia) on November 12th and 13th. Slides are divided into 2 parts. First part is introducing machine learning in a simple way with some basic definitions and basic examples. Second part is introducing Azure Machine Learning service including main features and workflow. Slides are used only 30% of the presentation time so there is no much detailed information on them regarding machine learning. Rest of the time I did live demos on Azure Machine Learning portal which is probably more interesting to the audience. Presentation can be useful as a concept for similar topics or to combine it some other resource. If you need access to the demos just send me a message so I will grant you access to Azure ML workspace where are all experiments used in this session.

Automated ML is an approach to minimize the need of data science effort by enabling domain experts to build ML models without having deep knowledge of algorithms, mathematics or programming skills. We all know what they say – the bigger the data, the better. But when the data gets really big, how do you mine it and what deep learning framework to use? This talk will survey, with a developer’s perspective, three of the most popular deep learning frameworks—TensorFlow, Keras, and PyTorch—as well as when to use their distributed implementations. We’ll compare code samples from each framework and discuss their integration with distributed computing engines such as Apache Spark (which can handle massive amounts of data) as well as help you answer questions such as: As a developer how do I pick the right deep learning framework? Do I want to develop my own model or should I employ an existing one? How do I strike a trade-off between productivity and control through low-level APIs? What language should I choose? In this session, we will explore how to build a deep learning application with Tensorflow, Keras, or PyTorch in under 30 minutes. Volunteers around the world increasingly act as human sensors to collect millions of data points. A team from the World Bank trained deep learning models, using Apache Spark and BigDL, to confirm that photos gathered through a crowdsourced data collection pilot matched the goods for which observations were submitted. In this talk, Maurice Nsabimana, a statistician at the World Bank, will demonstrate a collaborative project to design and train large-scale deep learning models using crowdsourced images from around the world. BigDL is a distributed deep learning library designed from the ground up to run natively on Apache Spark. It enables data engineers and scientists to write deep learning applications in Scala or Python as standard Spark programs-without having to explicitly manage distributed computations. Attendees of this session will learn how to get started with BigDL, which runs in any Apache Spark environment, whether on-premises or in the Cloud. Attendees will also learn how to write a deep learning application that leverages Spark to train image recognition models at scale.

<p>Instead of better understanding and optimizing their machine learning models, data scientists spend a majority of their time training and iterating through different models even in cases where there the data is reliable and clean. Important aspects of creating an ML model include (but are not limited to) data preparation, feature engineering, identifying the correct models, training (and continuing to train) and optimizing their models. This process can be (and often is) laborious and time-consuming.</p><p>In this session, we will explore this process and then show how the AutoML toolkit (from Databricks Labs) can significantly simplify and optimize machine learning. We will demonstrate all of this financial loan risk data with code snippets and notebooks that will be free to download.</p>

The most basic style of RAG works by vectorizing your data and injecting it into a vector database like Milvus for retrieval to augment the text output generated by an LLM. This is just the beginning. One of the ways that we can extend RAG, and extend AI, is through multilingual use cases.
