Gizelle’s career spans two decades of Executive Coaching, Skills Development
solutions, Facilitation, Learning and Development interventions, Consulting and
Management Development. She has experience in Corporates, National-,
Provincial-, Local - and Non-Governmental Organisations throughout all the
Sectors.
She worked as a senior career counsellor at the Department of Labour, owned
accredited training provider, Assessment Outsourcing, and was the CEO of
Nascence Education. She ran Skilling SA, offering learning and development
consulting, for 17 years. Gizelle is a Director of the Institute of People
Development (IPD) an accredited training provider.
As a sought after speaker, Gizelle is often requested to share her knowledge at
various seminars and conferences. The most common topics of discussion
include learning and development topics, conflict management, performance
management and personal development. Gizelle frequently addresses
audiences at L&D events such as the Skills Development Summit, the African
EduWeek Conference and African Rising Star.
Gizelle works closely with various professional bodies and SETAs, such as the ETD SETA
and Services SETA, and consults on Learning and Development practices. She
developed and quality assures the RPL designation pathway of the Marketing
Association of South Africa(MASA).
She contributes to the coaching, leaderships and Learning and development sector
through monthly articles that are published in the media.
Gizelle’s contributions to the advancement of vocational education and training
practices span across speaking opportunities, the development of training
courses that address real skills gaps, a focus on return on investment for
vocational training and inspiring others to take their skills development paths
seriously. Gizelle advocates targeted training in order to ensure that people feel
valued and that training makes a real difference to their careers.
With a focus on showing organisations how to measure ROI, many of Gizelle’s articles
and speaking opportunities revolve around the non-monetary returns that
accurate and needed training will deliver and championing workplace learning.
Her passion for Self-Development and Leadership training is such that anyone that
comes into contact with her or her organisation are inspired to increase their
standards, embark on training and review their views. She drives RPL forward with
a full understanding of the requirements, and a belief that it goes a long way to
facilitate the upskilling of the nation.
From a personal perspective, Gizelle strives to be an exceptional leader herself, whilst
advocating for a greater focus on management training and leadership
development at governmental, corporate and international levels. She has also
hosted and managed various workshops with a focus on leadership
development, including Women in Leadership workshops and AI workshops.

Gizelle has worked for over 18 years with
leaders and individuals across every
management level in government, corporate,
NGO, NPO and SME organisations across Africa.
She is a Positive Psychology Practitioner,
Chartered HRD,OD and L&D specialist and has
a diverse academic background. She has
extensive work experience within the
leadership, skills development and
management consulting sectors. As an
experienced organizational & leadership
consultant, she works closely with vetted
providers to provide accredited training
solutions. Collaboratively they have developed
cutting edge RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning)
and customised learning pathways solutions
that lead to qualifications and/professional
designations. As founder & Director of an
independent consulting practice TLC, her
passion lies in creating Direction, Alignment and
Commitment across both organisations, teams
and individuals.
Industry Experience
Gizelle’s passion lies in coaching, learning and
developing within the innovative field of leadership &
professionalism. She served as Chair for the SABPP
Learning and Development Committee, Her role as
Director at TLC involves accountability for guiding,
directing and supporting the full cycle of solution
crafting (from conceptualisation, validation and
proposition of business and leading edge leadership
design solutions to accreditation and qualifications
delivery). Other roles included MD at Skilling SA
Consulting where she worked with the various
executive teams and individuals across various
organisations. As a result her diverse areas of job
expertise include People & Leadership Development,
Transformation, Executive Coaching, Business
Development, Facilitation, Assessment and
Moderation, Organisational Development & Change
Leadership, Business Driven Action & Workplace
Integrated Learning, Innovation, Talent Management
and HRD Strategy. She has worked with clients in a
wide range of industries in SA and Africa. These
include banking, insurance, financial services, health,
retail, public and government sectors, NGO, and the
mining industries.

As an executive coach, Gizelle specialises in

coaching, action development and team
facilitation. Her additional focus area is on

registered COMENSA coaching training
provider and accredited coaching
programmes via vetted providers. Her personal
leadership philosophy is that of self awareness
leading to self-empowerment, that at the core

means of harnessing their strengths, creates a
powerful culture & environment for change and

models and an integrated and holistic systems
