TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER WORKSHOPS
Dear Madam / Sir,
Science Innovation Investment Fund1 (SIIF) together with Ministry of Education, Science
and Sports (MSES) and Human Dynamics Consortium2 for SIIF Technical Assistance (TA)
support welcomes you on Technology Transfer (TT) workshop.
This two-day TT workshop is designed having in mind needs of potential SIIF grant-scheme
applicants preparing the project proposals by themselves. Workshops will have practical nature and
will be implemented using the interactive approach.
In March 2010 TT workshops will be held in English at:
• March 15th-16th, 2010 in Zagreb
Sveučilište u Zagrebu, Ulica kralja Zvonimira 8, Zagreb
• March 18th-19th, 2010 in Rijeka
Sveučilište u Rijeci, Trg braće Mažuranića 10, Rijeka
Please note that to the representative of the project team is offered a one-time possibility for
participation at these workshops. Registration to workshops is obligatory and could be done by

The workshops will be led by international expert team: Mr. Karl-Heinz Jach (Germany), Dr.
Arvydas Sutkus (Lithuania) and Mr. Mohamad Eli (Croatia)

Trainers
Mr. Karl-Heinz Jach – Key Expert for Human Dynamics Consortium that provides Technical Assistance to
SIIF Grant Scheme – Technology Transfer expert
• International expert having over 22 years experience in the field of innovation, knowledge and technology
transfer: in establishing partnerships between Higher Education Institutions, Public Research
Organisations, as well as working directly with SMEs for the commercialisation of research results
He has vast experience in elaborating and carrying out training programmes based on thorough
training needs analysis, developing guidelines and materials for trainings
Dr. Arvydas Sutkus – Technology Transfer Expert (Lithuania).
• Dr. Sutkus has extensive knowledge of SME environment, cooperation and partnership models between
SMEs, SMEs and research & technology organisations. He specializes in organisation of technology
partnerships and development of innovation support services, in particular for SMEs, in the field of:
o Technology transfer;
o Technology audit;
o Technology strategy development;
o Technology partnership;
o Innovation financing, etc.
Mr. Mohamad Eli – Senior Consultant for innovation and donor programs.
• Eli Mohamad is a senior consultant with Sense Consulting Ltd, responsible for development and
management of projects financed from EU and donor programmes (World Bank, USAID, EBRD, EIB,
etc.). His areas of expertise also include identification and implementation of projects related to
commercialization of innovation in the SME sector, as well as the creation and maintenance of business
networks with public institutions. Before joining Sense Consulting, he worked on public and private
sector financing (Croatia), placement of new technologies on the market (QinetiQ, Plc, UK), research
competencies mapping for participation in the Community programmes (EU), and hospitality
management (USA). He graduated from the American College of Management and Technology (RH) and
holds a Technology and Innovation Management Masters degree from the University of Sussex, SPRU
(UK). He is an enthusiast for emerging technologies.
