As part of the seminar held by the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) in collaboration with IWMI, World fish and ICARDA “Options for improving irrigation water efficiency for sustainable agricultural development”.
At least twelve water courses will be developed/modified to strengthen the water dimension in the existing Civil Engineering BSc and water MSc programs.
Four New Professional Certification Programs.
New Graduate Diploma in Sustainable Water Management (18 new courses).
40 Research Grants: the COE will award 16 small grants, 20 medium and 4 large research grants.
STUDENTS SCHOLARSHIPS AND EXCHANGE (Total 350 Scholarships)
Scholarship at U.S. universities (100). around 60 students will be given an opportunity to attend a semester/quarter matriculating at a partnering U.S. institution and the remaining 40 will have the opportunity to gain the same experience while staying at their home country, if they choose, by being offered a semester at AUC.
The goal is to create 100 internships, 25 in the U.S. and 75 in Egypt
The capacity building program for the Egyptian faculty includes training to be carried out in the U.S. and Egypt.
