This document summarizes an educational math software called Mathatron. It contains a variety of math games of varying difficulty levels to challenge students as they progress. The games include Fishrithmatic, Guesstimate, Sort Your Shoes, Spot the Difference, Elevator Rider, The Equalizer and Misfits. The software offers interactive math activities to teach early learners and help develop computer literacy. A localized version for the Philippines is suggested by changing images in the games to be more culturally relevant, such as counting traditional local houses instead of apples.

Our instructional software contains a variety of math games. It ranges
from a wide array of difficulty and stages. It is a good software with regards to the
target audience intended. In this CD, children can play fun reason, logic, number
and math games like FIshrithmatic, Guesstimate, Sort Your Shoes, Spot the
Difference, Elevator Rider, The Equalizer and Misfits. Varying difficulty levels
offer challenges which allow the youngster to grow with the game. This software
in short offers a set of 8 highly innovative and interactive math activities for early
learnes and aspiring computer literate people as well.
I think a localized version of the CD is good because it is very simple to
do. It is mainly on images and mainly about literal things projected on screen.
Therefore, changing the images to a more localized point of view, let’s say
instead of counting apples in the game. One could project some “bahay kubo” to
count for a more localized atmosphere. The main concept of our software is
pretty straightforward therefore an edited localized version is very easy to do.
That I, myself would be able to do it.
