1. The following is a quick tutorial on how to add audio to slides and
save the file as a .WMV.
To do some of this you may have to download something.
You do this at your own risk.
2. Make your recordings.
Save them as MP3 or WAV.
Recommended is MP3.
4. Once you have the audio complete
(and all edits complete) click the
insert tab.
This should have a media section
with video and audio.
Select your first slide for recording
Select audio.
From the drop down choose your
file for the slide.

6. You should have an icon
like this…
This does not have to be
on the page you can drag
it off the slide it just has to
be on the PPT page.
Finish adding all audio to
the slides.
7. At some point you need to write
down how long each slide audio is.
Click on the Transitions tab.
Look on the Right side for Advance
Slide
8. The default is On Mouse Click
Place a check in the second box
After
The remove the one in On Mouse
Click
Make the timing of the slides based
on the timing of the audio.
If it the audio is twenty seconds
make the timing twenty-one
seconds.
9. Do this for every slide.
Play the presentation.
It should start with one click and
continue through to the end.
Make adjustments to the length of
time the slide stays on screen.
Add a second or remove a second
make the audio fit and sound
comfortable.
10. The PPT file will play but there is a
lot of information to process.
Click on file, Info, and finally on
Optimize Compatibility.
This will optimize the media files
and make the conversion and
playback smoother.
Save your PPT.
Now save it as a .WMV file
Click on the file tab.
Click on the down arrow of Save
AS Type.
Scroll though the list to Window
Media File.

12. The file will render into a .WMV
file.
Here you can do Three things
Load the file to the appropriate Kaplan
Page.
Load the file to YouTube.
Download a converter and convert to a
.AVI.
This will make the size of the video
considerably smaller.
This works be patient the larger the
file and more images and audio the
longer the rendering process takes.
