Ponencia realizada para el Reforma National Conference VII, en donde se expone sobre las convergencias y divergencias de las habilidades informacionales y las mediáticas, que un bibliotecario debe comprender, para facilitar el desarrollo de dichas competencias en su comunidad hispana. A la par se describe el papel que juega la Alianza Media and Information Literacy (MIL) de UNESCO en la promoción de las habilidades MIL.
