3. For 2011, Empire Office is proud to celebrate our 64th year of service to
business communities around the nation. Empire Office is a recognized
industry leader and the preeminent Steelcase furniture dealer in the United
States. Additionally, we support a list of over 300 manufacturers to meet our
customers’ overall needs.
The leadership of Empire is now three generations strong. Founded in 1946
by Abraham Gaslow, Empire started with a team of five employees. Sixty
years later, over 260 employees make up the Empire team. The founder’s
son, Larry Gaslow, is now Empire’s Chairman. His son, Peter Gaslow, was
named President and CEO in 2006

Together, this dynamic father/son team continues to carry on the tradition of
the family name by upholding the highest standards of quality and
exemplary service to both the public and private sectors.

• Review all drawings, products and specifications
• Recommend changes that will reduce costs and create efficiencies
• Verify all finishes and COM’s
• Assess loading areas and building rules for ease of delivery
• Interface with client, architectural/design team and project consultants
• Create milestone dates and critical paths
• Prepare specifications for order
• Track orders with the factory

• Prepare and distribute updates to team members
