LLC, shows that today Korean wine drinkers are
paying up to 5 times more
for wine, than it costs to import.

2. This price differential is causing Korean wine
drinkers to look to buy directly from Wine
exporters in countries like Chile, Australia and
the United States of America.

the price is currently 30,000 Won, this high
price is down to three reasons,
● Increased tarrifs on imported wine
● An increase in demand for wine from the
Korean public

comments, “These findings are indicative of a
thriving wine market in Korea. Yet, with the decrease
in import tarrifs and a Free Trade Agreement with the
United States in the pipeline, it appears that prices
will decrease with increased direct access to Korean
consumers.”
