4. HOW TO MAKE BUBBLE TEA?
Pre soak the pearls in a bowl full of water for a couple of
hours to make it soft and tender, which is how most
people want to have it. The tapioca pearls are available in
the market or it can also be made from the starch.
5. Mix 8 cups of brown sugar and 8 cups of white sugar with 18
cups of water in a small sauce pan and heat it until the sugar
dissolves in the water. Turn off the heat when the sugar is
melted and pour the sugar syrup into a serving container.
6. Boil 1 cup of tapioca pearls to 7 cups of water in high heat.
Stir lightly to prevent sticking. Tapioca pearls should float to
the top of the water. Rinse the pearls in cold lukewarm water
and drain the excess water.
7. Pour the pearls in a container and soak them with the
sugar syrup for sweetening. Honey can also be used as a
substitute sweetener.
8. Keep the pearls in a fridge for not more than four days
or use them immediately or else they would become
mushy and hard.
9. Bring 17 cups of water to light boil and add some black or
green tea bags to it. 12 minutes later remove the tea bags and
pour the tea into a serving glass.
10. Mix the hot brewed tea with some condensed milk or
soya milk and 2 tablespoons of sugar syrup in an
airtight shaker cup. Condensed milk can be substituted
with some non dairy creamers like fresh cream.
11. Prepare a mixture of ice and fresh fruit juice. Add some sugar
syrup or fresh cream in the mixture. The consistency of the
mixture should be maintained. Add the mixture to the glass of
already prepared milk tea. Many types of fruits can be used
for this like mango, strawberry, almond, coconut and all
which adds to the taste of the tea.
12. Pour some ice cubes in another glass and add the cooked
tapioca pearls.
13. Add in all the mixture of fruit and milk tea into the glass of
tapioca pearls and shake it well until a nice froth is formed.
Tapioca pearls should remain at the bottom of the glass.
Serve the drink with a big straw and enjoy.
