2. MILLENIUM DEVELOPING GOALS
 In the year 2000 a lot of problems scourge the society, for this reason the UN decided to create a plan
which, during a process 15 years, will improve the world issues, this solution was called “Millenium
Developing Goals”, there are 8 goals which try to upgrade different situations like equiality, hunger,
poverty, diseases, etc.

4. 1. REDUCE POVERTY AND SOCIAL EXCLUSION
 A lot of people around the world are living with less than one dollar per day, what this first goal want to
do is reduce by half the proportion of this porcent. In 2000 1,2 billion of people lived in this conditions.
 The UN saw that the population, especially women and Young people don’t have, talking about
employment, the same oportunities as old men, so they propoused that in 2015 all these groups will
have a decent work.
 Other goal that is included here is reduce by half the cuantity of people that suffer fron hunger. 800
million of people were malnourished in 2000.

7. 2. ACHIEVE UNIVERSAL PRIMARY EDUCATION
 The UN in the 2000 wanted that boys and girls finish all their primary schooling, in that year 115 million
of children are not enrolled in school.
 the number of children and adolescents has decreased without schooling in almost half since 2000.

9. 3. PROMOTE GENDER EQUALITY AND EMPOWER THE WOMEN
 In their investigations they found that 64% of the world’s illiterate population were women, and 60% of
the children not enrolled in primary school were women so they set the goal of eliminate the gender
disparity in primary and secondary education.
 They also found that the 80% of the world refugee were women.

11. 4. REDUCE CHILD MORTALITY
 In the 20th century every year10 million children died of preventable diseases, a very high digit, for this
reason one of their objetives is reduce by two thirds the child mortality in kids under the five years old.

13. 5. IMPROVE THE MATERNAL HEALTH
 Before and a principles of the century, 500 women died each year during the pregnancy or giving birth,
the UN hope that for 2015 this porcentage be reduced three quarters. Also they wanted that the
population could access to reproductive health.

15. 6. COMBAT HIV/AIDS, MALARIA AND OTHER DISEASES
 Halt and begin to reverse the spread of HIV/AIDS, the same with malaria and other diseases.
 One of their goals in this topic is give universal Access to HIV/AIDS treatment for all the people who
needs it.
 In the year of 2000 22 million of people died of AIDS.

17. 7. ENSURE ENVIRONMENAL SUSTAINABILITY.
 Reduce biodeversity loss.
 Reverse loss of environmental resources.
 Safe drinking wáter and basic sanitation .
 One billion people in developing countries didn’t have Access to drinkable water.

19. 8. GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP FOR DEVELOPMENT
 Deal comprenhensively with the debt problems of developing countries
