1. Who would be the audience for your media product?
The target audience for my magazine are young adults around the age of 18 and older people who are into the type of
music which is classical rock. The people who could have listen to the music when they were younger themselves. So
around 35-45. My magazine is aimed at people that have passion in music and are interested in news about fresh thing
in the world of classical rock music and don't want to read magazines about gossip which aren't true. There will be no
slang used in any of my magazines as it is not professional and does not fit in with my target audience. I have used
formal language which creates a mature and a more adult feel. People would be able to pay the price which is 3.50 for
the magazine if they are in the range of my target audience. The target audience has been chosen due to the results that
i have received in the questionnaires they were both varying between teenagers passionate about the music as well as
people who listened to the music when they were younger. The target audience would find the things in my magazine
appealing for them and interesting but if the magazine meets with a person below the age of a target audience he will
most likely not be interested in the magazine. My magazine is aimed at a ABC1 audience. This is the Lower Middle Class
to Upper Middle Class. They can afford to spend £3.50 on a magazine where as the D class might not. The people in the
ABC1 class have the money spare so they would be able to buy the magazine as they can simply afford it. The class is
well educated people who have experience and would fit within the age range they would be interested in the formal
and interesting articles which my magazine has to offer.
