We hear this term a lot but what exactly does it mean?Does anyone know what carbon footprint means?
It is a measurement of how we treat the earth. How much energy we use.Transportation, heat, etc
Kids……This is what carbon kind of looks like!
If we don’t measure something we don’t know what we need to do!If we know what kind of impact we are having….we can make the decision to help care for the earth that God has provided to us.Regardless of your views on global warming…Conserve nonrenewable resourcesImprove the airSave money that could be used to serve othersAnd…….Because it is an act of faith….which is why we are here.
So…let’s go back and learn what is in the bible about creation and our role. Before we do that, lets review this question.Read the question. Answer in your mind only….and we will discuss more after our next activity.So….we are going way back and review the story of creation. Each table has a day of creation. I will give you 2-3 minutes to discuss the best way to act our your day. When you are ready, I will read the script and you will act it out at the same time. After each day, we will all say “And God saw that it was good.” I also want your table to come up with a way to celebrate God’s excitement. Each table should have a unique way to celebrate.
Kids……Which one is most pleasing to God?
If you want to calculate your footprint here are a few sites although there are plenty of them out there.Has anyone calculated theirs?I did this and came out above average……now I know I have work to do.
