2. La constante difusión de música “ligera” por todas partes y sus abusivas campañas de
marketing, provocaron el rechazo de un grupo de intelectuales y músicos neoyorquinos.
Como reacción, se lanzarán en busca de las verdaderas raíces de la música americana
recopilando y catalogando canciones, grabando a viejos músicos, revalorizando la guitarra
acústica y reeditando obras antiguas.

Bob Dylan fue la voz de miles de jóvenes norteamericanos que
deseaban cambiar una sociedad injusta. En sus canciones abordó
todos los temas conflictivos del momento:Master of war atacaba al
ejército, Oxford Town a la policía, North country blues a los dirigentes
políticos… También advirtió: The times they are a-changin (”Los
tiempos están cambiando”), y el tiempo le dio la razón.
