Definition of Science
From the Latin word scientia, meaning "knowledge" is a
systematic enterprise that builds and
organizes knowledge in the form
of testable explanations and predictions about
the universe. Modern science is typically divided into
three major branches that consist of
• Natural sciences (biology, chemistry, and physics)
• Social sciences (economics, psychology,
and sociology)
• Formal sciences (logic, mathematics, and theoretical
computer science).
Scientific method seeks to objectively explain the events
of nature in a reproducible way.

in 1956. This novel is a complete rewrite of his earlier Against the Fall of Night, Clarke's first

Campbell, Jr. editor of Astounding Science-Fiction, had rejected it, according to Clarke.

Looking Backward: 2000–1887 is a utopian novel by Edward Bellamy, a
journalist and writer. It was first published in 1888. It was the third largest
bestseller of its time. It influenced many intellectuals, and appears by title in
many socialist writings of the day. "It is one of the few books ever published
