• The early romans wore a toga.
• The citizens were only allowed to wear togas.
• They were made out of wool and they were
very large.
• The material was draped on the body and
hanging over on arm.
• Togas were expensive because it was a large
amount of material.
4. The Egyptians
• If you were an Egyptian, you have a lot of care
over your appearance.
• People took pride when they had a spotless dress
or skirt.
• The clothes were almost made of linen, which is
woven in the fibres of the flax plant.
• Some of the servant girls only wore a belt.
• Men wore a simple wrapped skirt. It was an
upper classy style.
5. The Egyptians
• Both men and women would do their eyes
and lips and wear a black wigs made of wool
or hair.
• Women would wear a large rectangle of
transparent linen with a hole for the head.
• All Egyptians would wash themselves before
getting dressed.

• Greek men do wear very few clothing, or
sometimes they don’t wear any at all :0.
• When the women were around the men, they
would always have clothes on.
• The average women would be “ decently”
dressed.
• The rich or poor women would cover their
heads and lower faces with a veil.

little bit of sewing was required.
• A ton of different styles could be made with
just a bit more sewing or some more folds.
• You could see the quality in the clothing.

They dressed up for what the climate was that
day.
