Am 25 years old nutritionist and have successfully completed a Diploma in Community
Nutrition from Kenya Medical Training College and graduated in December 2014.Am also
trained on Nutrition Care and Support in HIV/AIDS.
Am also skilled in Management Of Severe Malnutrition in children, Nutrition Management in
Emergency, Growth monitoring and promotion, Nutrition Assessment and Research,
Breastfeeding, Infant feeding of children infected or exposed to HIV/AIDS, Nutrition care and
support of people living with HIV/AIDS, Nutrition and Psychosocial counseling in HIV/AIDS,
Prevention of mother to child transmission [PMTCT], and adult Antiretroviral Therapy.
While studying at K.M.T.C I was attached for three months at Kenyatta National Hospital where
I had extensive hands-on experience in Pediatric, Medical, Catering, Surgical, Obstetrics and
Gynecology.
I was also attached to Gatundu District Hospital for three months where I worked at MCH to
monitor and promote child growth, Pediatric ward to care and manage children with severe
malnutrition, male and female ward to care for patients with a multiplicity of ailments and
Comprehensive Care Center for people living with HIV/AIDS.
In a nutshell, I had gained valuable experience and exposure that has endowed me the necessary
expertise and ability to handle related conditions or ailment if I am given job opportunity in any
government or non-governmental organization.
