9. About us
IPS Managing Partner, Rich Donovan
Rich Donovan is a Managing Partner of IPS Group LLC(IPS). Rich worked as a Vice President
at Merrill Lynch & Co in the role Portfolio Manager in New York City. While churning out an
average annual return of 17%, Rich was a key change agent at Merrill to put measurable
results behind disability and ensure that it became a recognized pillar of the firm’s diversity
strategy.
He is the founder of Lime, a New York-based not-for-profit delivering economic
empowerment to people with disabilities. With its partners – Merrill Lynch, PepsiCo, Google,
Target and Goldman Sachs – Lime approaches this space with a ‘rational edginess’ to
combat the existing ‘radioactive’ brand of disability in connecting talent and opportunity in
the workplace.
Rich is a recipient of Merrill Lynch’s 2006 Leadership in Diversity and Inclusion Award in
recognition of the results Lime produced for the firm, The Life Without Limits 2008 Award of
Excellence and was honored as a ‘Champion of Change’ by the Bubel/Aiken Foundation.
He serves on the board of directors of The United Cerebral Palsy Associations and the
Cerebral Palsy International Research Foundation. Mr. Donovan, who happens to have
cerebral palsy, holds a BBA from Schulich School of Business at York University and an MBA
from Columbia Business School. Rich is an avid sailor.
