Fields”
Introduction
 Panchavayavas Pratijnya,Hetu, Udaharana,Upanaya and
Nigamana are important tools.
 These five tools play prime important role in,
 Research field
 Case History record maintaining in Medical Department.
 In Medico legal case .
 Teaching methodology in Education Department.
 while Presenting the paper in the seminar.
 Writing the paper for publication .
 While writing synopsis and While doing dissertation
work.

4. “Utility of Panchavayava in Different Fields”
 It means some of Basic Principles of Ayurveda are not only
meant for Medical Scholar but it is for all.
 All category people who want to achieve success in their
respective profession they has to follow these
Panchavayavas while convincing the second Person.
 Achaarya Charaka  30th chapter of Sutrasthana
3 Varna people Brahmana, Kshatriy and Vaishya 
Purushartha Chatushtaya,
 As per Manusmruti,
 Brahmana Scholars and Teachers,
 Kshatriya Rulers and Administrators ,
 Vaishya Traders,
 Shudra Labors.

 Pratijnya –”प्रतिज्न्या नाम साध्य वचनम ्।”
 Hetu- “हेतुर्र्नाम उपलभ्धि कार्णं ततर प्रत्यक्षं अनुमान य़ेभ्तह्य ओपम्यं इत्येभ्िर्र हेतुभ्िर्र उपलधयते
तत्त तत्वमर।”
 Udaharana- “द्र्र्टान्तो नाम यत्र मुर्् भ्वदु्यामर बुभ्ि साम्यमर यो वर्णय्मर वण्यभ्त “
 Upanaya-”उपनयो भ्नगमनं च उक्तं स्थापना प्रभ्तस्थापनाव्याख्यमर।”
 Nigamana- Conclusion. These are the five tools which are
needed in Paraartha Anuman .These are explained under
the heading of” Vada Marga Padas” by Achary Charak in
Vimana Sthan 8th chapter.

पवविो वन््िमान्इति प्रतिज्न्या।
धुमत्वाि्इति िेिु:।
य़था मिानस इति उदिरण:।
यथा च अयं इति उपनय।
िस्माि्िथा इति तनगमन।

for snigdha sweda the symptoms
get aggravated.

Upanaya -Here the situation is same .
Nigaman – Conclusion ,repeating the Statement, this
patient is suffering from Amavaat.

Pratijnya – This is the case of IUD.
Hetu- After examing the Patient she told loss of
fetal movement since two days .After
examination FHS not heard.
Udaharana- I will take the example of previously
examed and treated patient , that do you
remembered last week one lady came with same
complaints and I diagnosed it as IUD. After doing
sonography we got the findings as IUD recall
that.
Upanaya- Here the situation is same.
Nigaman- That’s why my conclusion is This is a
case of IUD.

Because a group of Vultures are
continuously flying over that place.
Udaharana
Vultures have sharp eye sight and
smell grasping capacity. Here we can recall
previously attended cases, if is familiar with
detective ,movie ,serials etc.
Upanaya
Here the situation is same.
Nigamana
so here there is a flesh.

To see the efficacy of Amalakimchoorna in Shweta Pradara”
Hetu
The classical references hypothesis what we give , the mode of
action of Amalaki choorna in the samprapti vighatana of Shweta pradara as
it has kashaya rasa, kashaya rasa acts as sthambhaka and the tanic acid
present in Amalaki helps to maintain the PH of vagina .
Udaharana
we can give the example of standard drug which is similar in rasa,
guna, veerya, vipaka as Lodhra.
Upanaya Here the condition is same .
Nigamana
So Amalakimchoorna helps to cure the Shweta pradara.

Conclusion
 Panchavayava are used in different fields while
convincing the second person ,where the Anumana
gamya bhaavas are present.
 Ayurveda is not is not only for Medical student it is for all.
