Theory of affect in recent interactive artwork have
broad and very serious roots in the history of music
perception. The brainwaves and sound,
electroacustic instruments, affective media and
biofeedback are inspiring us to the new approaches
and new research in art theory. The idea of universal
language have a background in constructivism,
unism and all avant-garde movement. Nowadays that
field is broadly explored by the data mining and big
data projects to find relations between image and
brain activity, or sound and brain activity.
I had explored the area of dead matter to find also there the affects and redefine affect, explore life
forms in diferrent than protein base. Life in the global and cosmic sense. Life more referrend to the
systems of communication – absortion, processing and transmission, so in that sense simple red
glass as filter is a simple part of possible life system. If the data will make any kind of mechanical
activity in the cell that will affect on transmission data on the output this will be the simple form of
life. Data and expression are not only manifestations of life – they are code that will make possible
transmission of life based on other than human platform. So the project will be the next step of the
previous – panpsychism. And subsequent steps will be connected with the way how to transform it
into the more materialistic object, or process. How to root it in the postconceptual art language. It
needs to be kind of collection of the affects that could make kind of database for the system that will
transform them into referrences between sounds, verbs and images and biofeedback data to let the
world translate our culture by our bodies. We could gain the next level of aesthetic as more
knowledge based science and create the art for our bodies. Transmit the sublimity directly to
stimulate the life experience. Maybe we should to use for that psychodelics, sex-like experiences,
and electric field stimulation?
