This document outlines several pathways for a museum to provide alternative teacher leadership opportunities through professional development programs. It discusses current long-term professional development models run by the Fleet Inquiry Institute including programs with Balboa Park, Mesa Community College, and schools in Imperial County. It then proposes expanding these models by partnering with local school districts, identifying teacher leaders, offering leadership roles, gathering data, and collaborating with other institutions to develop new professional development opportunities tailored to different regions' needs.
