This Week’s Assignments
Math – Our plan is to wrap up division, take a quiz on Tuesday, and move on to
fractions.
Spelling – Students will continue with Words Their Way. They are working on different
sorts now rather than all of us working on the same sort. They are learning a lot and
beginning to notice patterns as they read and write.
Writing – Students will be wrapping up and writing the final draft of their snowmen
stories. We will then move on to study persuasive texts. We will study some
persuasive texts so that students can then write their own persuasive piece.
Reading – We will spend one more week on main idea. Reading groups are off to a
great start. All groups have been reading and discussing their new books.
Science – We will wrap up our study on Matter. A study guide went home Wednesday
and students will test on Tuesday the 25th. We will then be moving on to Social
Studies where we will be studying the Louisiana Purchase and Lewis and Clark.
