Target Audience

By Luke Wallis and Luke Smither
Demographics
Demographics is the diversity that separates
people due to many different categories. These
are: age, gender, ethnicity, social class and
                   location.
Psychographics
Psychographics is someones personality, values and attitude. These
are divided into 7 groups, they are:

-Mainstreamers- Seek security and brands they can trust.
-Aspirers- Image is everything.
-Succeeders- Like to be prestigious and to be under control.
-Reformers- Want to give someone a different point of view.
-Strugglers- No much money, struggling in life.
-Resigned- Old people.
-Explorers- Thrill seekers
Expendables

The Expendables is a movie that is appealing to young people (15-34), those 2 categories contain
about 70% of the audience. Young people like this movie because of the themes, violence and
the actors which have been in similar movies. This movie is way more popular in males than in
females (there’s a 65% / 36%), because of the more masculine themes. The movie has been
viewed by people that in classes AB/ C1/ C2/ DE. People in the DE class have watched to movie
more is because the don’t work so the have more time to watch movies.
Edge of Darkness

This movie is younger people because the age range is 15-34. This is due the the
age certificate and its themes. Its gender difference (62%/38%) will not be similar to
ours because our movie will be more of a 50/50 split because it’s a Crime/Drama
with no action. This movie is popular in the DE classes because the have more
time off than people who are in the classes above.
Our Movie Opening
Our movie opening would receive a 55/45% split in gender because its not a action movie, but a
Crime/Drama, which would make it more appealing to females. People ages 15 and above would watch
this due to the age rating (15+). It’s themes would attract a older audience because it hasn’t got lots of
action and swearing in it, so i think the would be a higher percentage of people who are aged 25 and
over watching. I think the class range will be more even on this movie because it would interest a
broader range of people, but there will be a little more in the DE class because they have more free
time.
                                           Age % Gender % Class %
