Nd:YAG laser and SHG efficiency was found for both the samples. Microhardness studies were performed to understand the
mechanical strength of the samples. Measurements of values of dielectric constant and dielectric loss were carried out and the

Vehicle License Plate Recognition (VLPR) is an important system for harmonious traffic. Moreover this system is helpful in many fields and places as private and public entrances, parking lots, border control and theft control. This paper presents a new framework for Sudanese VLPR system. The proposed framework uses Multi Objective Particle Swarm Optimization (MOPSO) and Connected Component Analysis (CCA) to extract the license plate. Horizontal and vertical projection will be used for character segmentation and the final recognition stage is based on the Artificial Immune System (AIS). A new dataset that contains samples for the current shape of Sudanese license plates will be used for training and testing the proposes framework.

This paper presents a technique for document image binarization that segments the foreground text accurately from poorly
degraded document images. The proposed technique is based on the Segmentation of text from poorly degraded document images and
it is a very demanding job due to the high variation between the background and the foreground of the document. This paper proposes
a novel document image binarization technique that segments the texts by using adaptive image contrast. It is a combination of the
local image contrast and the local image gradient that is efficient to overcome variations in text and background caused by different
types degradation effects. In the proposed technique, first an adaptive contrast map is constructed for a degraded input document
image. The contrast map is then binarized by global thresholding and pooled with Canny’s edge map detection to identify the text
stroke edge pixels. By applying Segmentation the text is further segmented by a local thresholding method that. The proposed method
is simple, strong, and requires minimum parameter tuning.

Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) gained a lot of attention in industry. The key attraction of ECC over RSA is that it
offers equal security even for smaller bit size, thus reducing the processing complexity. ECC Encryption and Decryption methods can
only perform encrypt and decrypt operations on the curve but not on the message. This paper presents a fast mapping method based on
matrix approach for ECC, which offers high security for the encrypted message. First, the alphabetic message is mapped on to the
points on an elliptic curve. Later encode those points using Elgamal encryption method with the use of a non-singular matrix. And the
encoded message can be decrypted by Elgamal decryption technique and to get back the original message, the matrix obtained from
decoding is multiplied with the inverse of non-singular matrix. The coding is done using Verilog. The design is simulated and
synthesized using FPGA.

Membranes have wide uses in industry and medicine applications. Polymer membranes are important materials
because of their high chemical resistance, but they are of weak mechanical resistance against high pressures. Therefore, it was
essential to modify a permeability measuring technique free from high pressure application. The current work represented a
modification for the permeability measuring technique of membranes, where ionic salt was added with known concentration
to water as common solvent and the electrolyte current was measured behind the membrane. The electrolysis current was
correlated to the flow rate of water across a polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) membrane. Some other problems were raised such that
polarization on electrodes and changes in electrolyte contents during the long time of the slow process. Pulsed potential on
electrodes resolved these problems and other associated problems like rush in current and the double layer capacitance effect.
An empirical equation was suggested to evaluate the permeability of polymer membranes by this modified method. Easy and
accurate measurement of permeability helped authors to change the permeability of PVA membranes by adding copper nano
particles in membrane to reduce its permeability, and adding silicone dioxide micro particles to the PVA membranes to
increase its permeability. Authors suggested a mechanism for these permeability changes. Scanning electron microscope
images for the filled PVA membranes supported the suggested mechanism

Multi-algorithmic approach to enhancing the accuracy of iris recognition system is proposed and
investigated. In this system, features are extracted from the iris using various feature extraction algorithms,
namely LPQ, LBP, Gabor Filter, Haar, Db8 and Db16. Based on the experimental results, it is demonstrated
that Mutli-algorithms Iris Recognition System is performing better than the unimodal system. The accuracy
improvement offered by the proposed approach also showed that using more than two feature extraction
algorithms in extracting the iris system might decrease the system performance. This is due to redundant
features. The paper presents a detailed description of the experiments and provides an analysis of the
performance of the proposed method.

In order to reduce the constraints of the earlier work a new improved technique is proposed in this work. In the proposed technique the issue of multi-cast tree is eliminated using clustering based technique. First of all multi-radio and multichannel based clustering is deployed and these cluster head are responsible
for the multicasting. It will diminish the overall energy consumption of nodes and complexity of intelligent algorithms. The path will be evaluated based upon the ant colony optimization. Thus it has produced better results than other techniques.

Wireless Sensor Networks consists of sensor nodes which are scattered in the environment, gather data and transmit it to a
base station for processing. Energy conservation in the Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) is a very important task because of their
limited battery power. The related works so far have been done have tried to solve the problem keeping in the mind the constraints of
WSNs. In this paper, a priority based application specific congestion control clustering (PASCCC) protocol has been studied, which
often integrates the range of motion and heterogeneity of the nodes to detect congestion in a very network. Moreover a comparison of
the various clustering techniques has been done. From the survey it has been found that none of the protocol is efficient for energy
conservation. Hence the paper ends with future scope to overcome these issues.
