The Performance Analysis of Private Conventional Banks: A Case Study of Bangl...IOSR Journals
This study attempts primarily to measure the financial performance of some selected private
commercial banks in Bangladesh for the period 2006-2011 and to identify whether any relationship exists
between a bank’s years of operation and its performance. For this purpose five banks have been selected from
different generations. The financial performances of these banks have been scrutinized from the following four
dimensions: (1) profitability (2) liquidity (3) credit risk and (4) efficiency. The study concluded that there is no
specific relationship between the generation of banks and its performance. The performances of banks are
dependent more on the management’s ability in formulating strategic plans and the efficient implementation of
its strategies. The study findings can be helpful for management of private commercial banks in Bangladesh to
improve their financial performance and formulate policies that will improve their performance. The study also
identified specific areas for each bank to work on which can ensure sustainable growth for these banks

ABSTRACT: Watershed is a common and open-ended property. Watershed is a property for many parties, both individuals and organizations who have interests of its existence. As open property, each party can freely enter and exit, according to their interests without responsible for maintaining the watershed’s conditions. Condition of watershed can result complex or even conflict. Because each party has different perceptions, interests, and even conflict each other As common and open property, the watershed require joint management. Co-management becomes increasingly important because of watershed flows beyond administrative, territory and authority boundaries of organizations. Watershed management require a new approach which is able to reach out many parties, individuals, organizations and governments. Collaborative approach as a new approach, in contrast with New Public Management approach is emphasizing in property management which is involving multiple parties or organizations, both governmental, private and also community organizations. Case analysis on management of Citarum Watershed shows the complexity of issues of watershed management. In managing the complexity of watershed is need the implementation of collaborative approach which is able to realize the impact of watershed management.
Impact of Exchange rate volatility on FDI in PakistanIOSR Journals
The main objective of our study is to determine the relationship of FDI with exchange rate volatility exchange rate and inflation. There are large numbers of FDI determinants but exchange rate is one of reflective determinant. Exchange rate extremely volatile due to its frailty to adopt the changes in international and domestic investment. In our study, we use time series data for FDI, exchange rate volatility, exchange rate, government consumption and domestic credit from 1980 to 2011 for Pakistan. Different time series econometrics techniques (volatility analysis, normality test, PP, unit root test) have been used for analysis. Results demonstrate that exchange rate volatility and inflation deter FDI while exchange rate has positive relationship with it.
Technopreneurship and Enterprise Growth in Nigeria: An Exploration into the L...IOSR Journals
Blend of technology prowess and entrepreneurial skills are known to be the important drivers of enterprise growth in many nations. In Nigeria new policies, structures and strategies are being explored and formulated to help technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises grow and to offer a promising future for the country’s businesses within the global market place. In the same vein, Central Bank of Nigeria recently intensified effort to further promote the development and expansion of Microfinance banking activities in the country with a view to availing Nigeria’s entrepreneurs the opportunity to exploit economic benefits of such banks. This article explores the role microfinance banks can play in promoting technoprenuership derive and growth among micro, small and medium scale enterprises in Nigeria by employing Pearson Correlation to establish relationship between the variables and Multivariate Analysis of Variance to show causal effects. The coefficients results show strong positive association between the variables as well as significant causal effect between the predictor variable and the two criterion variables. Hence it is recommended that creating favourable financial conditions for entrepreneurs will hasten the development of technopreneural drive and subsequent enterprises growth in Nigeria

The bread market is growing at about 5% per annum, according to the Ministry of Food Processing
Industries. 85% bread production is in the hands of the unorganized sector. With a lot of competition building
up to tap this potential market, the onus lies with the customer, who will turn to the brand which offers him
complete satisfaction. This paper studies the factors which lead to customer satisfaction and brand awareness,
by a random sampling of 100 customers in Cochin. The paper analyses customer satisfaction of a particular
bread brand – Elite Bread and attempts to find out how well known it is to the customers, compared to its
competitors. Limitations of the study and recommendations to improve customer satisfaction are put forth.
