Presentación del TFM "Características de la comunidad de macroinvertebrados en lagunas: papel de los mesohábitats", cuyo objetivo general de este trabajo es caracterizar la comunidad de macroinvertebrados acuáticos en la laguna La Era, en la provincia de León, durante el año 2022. Se busca comprobar las diferencias taxonómicas entre los diferentes mesohábitats y la exhaustividad del muestreo. Para ello se identificaron los ambientes adecuados para el muestreo, recolectando muestras en la orilla, zonas intermedias, zonas profundas y áreas con presencia de Scirpus. Los macroinvertebrados recolectados fueron procesados en el laboratorio y clasificados. Posteriormente, se realizaron análisis estadísticos para evaluar la asociación entre los taxones y los diferentes ambientes y se compararon la riqueza de este muestreo con los resultados de muestreos previos para evaluar la exhaustividad del muestreo. En el estudio se recolectaron un total de 44 taxones diferentes, principalmente insectos. El análisis de similitud mostró agrupaciones de muestras similares en función de su composición comunitaria y la prueba de IndVal confirmó la asociación de ciertos taxones con mesohábitats específicos, como la familia Corixidae en la zona intermedia y el género Chaoborus en la zona profunda. El estudio indica que la composición taxonómica de los macroinvertebrados acuáticos en la alguna no experimenta cambios significativos entre los diferentes mesohábitats, pero si se observan diferencias en las abundancias relativas de los taxones. Siendo las orillas las que presentan una mayor diversidad de taxones, por lo que se recomienda onsiderarlas como un mesohábitat prioritario en los muestreos. Sin embargo, algunos taxones muestran preferencia por áreas más profundas. Por el contrario, se detecta que no es necesario muestrear las masas de Scirpus ya que aportan poca información. A pesar de que se necesita más información sobre la exhaustividad del muestreo, la metodología utilizada poermitió recopilar información detallada, concluyendo la importancia de considerar las orillas para obtener una visión integral de la comunidad de macroinvertebrados.

El suelo es un conjunto natural que sirve de soporte a la totalidad de los ecosistemas de los ambientes continentales terrestres. Su principal función dentro de los ecosistemas es la de proveer la totalidad del agua y nutrientes que necesitan todos los seres vivos del ecosistema a lo largo de su vida. Precisamente, a la capacidad que tiene un suelo para desempeñar este papel es lo que se conoce por calidad del suelo. Una forma sencilla de definir al suelo es la de “resultado de la adaptación de las rocas al ambiente geoquímico de la superficie de la Tierra, muy diferente por lo general de aquel bajo el que se generó la roca en su interior. Dado que el ambiente geoquímico de la superficie terrestre está condicionado por el clima, es por lo que los suelos son muy diferentes según el tipoi de clima y por lo que estos se distribuyen a lo largo de la superficie terrestre según amplias zonas que se corresponden con las distintas zonas climáticas De todos los componentes de los suelos, la materia orgánica es el que más incide sobre su fertilidad natural y su sostenibilidad. Los cambios que esta experimenta en el suelo por la acción de los microorganismos, constituyen la base de la sostenibilidad de la misma a lo largo del tiempo A lo largo de los diferentes capítulos de este seminario, veremos como la principal diferencia entre la sostenibilidad de la fertilidad natural del suelo de los diferentes ecosistemas terrestres deriva de alteraciones provocadas por el hombre en la dinámica de la materia orgánica, siendo el ejemplo más palpable de la degradación de los suelos la transformación de los ecosistemas naturales en ecosistemas agrícolas

La finalidad de este seminario de huella de carbono es dar conocer las implicaciones del cambio climático en el ámbito doméstico, con el cálculo de contribuciones de emisiones de CO2 que sirvan de ejemplo para hallar las interacciones que se producen en tu día a día. El análisis de la huella de carbono se abordará desde una óptica práctica para lo que se utilizarán diagramas y gráficos generados, la mayoría de ellos con Inteligencia Artificial, como una aproximación novedosa y actual del empleo de esta herramienta así como la interpretación de resultados a través de hojas de cálculo que permitan combinar distintos escenarios para tener opinión sobre las implicaciones del cambio climático. El seminario se desarrollará en 3 jornadas que permitirán avanzar en el conocimiento de los gases de efecto invernadero, las relaciones causa efecto asociadas a las emisiones de CO2, los balances energéticos de la Tierra, comprender por qué no se escapan los gases de la atmósfera y descubrir cómo y dónde absorben estos gases. Durante la exposición, el ponente, Antonio Navarro Marín, Verificador Jefe de Huella de Carbono en Bureau Veritas, nos enseñará cálculos in situ por lo que tendrá un enfoque dinámico y participativo, con objeto de reflexionar sobre sus implicaciones y tener opinión de lo que cada uno podría hacer. Se utilizarán transparencias y hojas de cálculo, hechas y pensadas para este seminario manejando distintos supuestos para tener soluciones alternativas y comparables, según los escenarios considerados o que se planteen durante la exposición del seminario. Contenido de esta sesión: Se realizará el planteamiento y cálculo de la huella de carbono del tubo de escape de tu coche en función de los parámetros que configuremos. Este análisis permitirá hacerse ya una opinión profunda de las implicaciones y significado de las emisiones de CO2. La Inteligencia Artificial nos permitirá hallar el balance químico de lo que sucede en la combustión del combustible del coche. Se utilizarán datos y tablas publicadas por el MITERD que permitirán a los asistentes avanzar en el cálculo total de su huella de carbono doméstica. Se realizará un análisis del Ahora y Antes de las causas que más influyen en la emisión de gases, de las que se es poco o nada consciente de su existencia. A partir de este análisis se tendrá una idea clara que como las emisiones de CO2 han tenido un crecimiento hiperbólico y somos nosotros los que estamos influyendo en el calentamiento de la Tierra, y por tanto en su clima. Se planteará el manejo de la Inteligencia Artificial como herramienta de trabajo, para lo que se comentarán y documentarán las principales suites gratuitas disponibles en el mercado. Se generarán imágenes, gráficos y tablas ilustrativas que permitirán interpretar los resultado numéricos. Se analizará el hecho peculiar y conocido por todos de por qué, justo al amanecer es cuando más frío hace.

En la región sureste de la República Mexicana se encuentra un estado que podría ser por sí solo un país: Chiapas. Con más de 73,000 km2 de extensión, abarca zonas con una gran riqueza natural y étnica, donde podemos encontrar cordilleras y valles que alojan diversos paisajes considerados entre los más bellos del mundo. En estos lares encontramos diversos cuerpos de agua que se comunican y unen a través del territorio kárstico. Estas interconexiones conforman un sistema de más de 50 cuerpos de agua, denominado Lagos de Montebello, que incluye lagos y cenotes, así como la presencia de ríos tanto superficiales como subterráneos que integran ecosistemas y albergan poblaciones que se han asentado en la zona por cientos de años. Al visitar esta región todavía se puede conservar la visión romántica de Humboldt y sentir el compromiso con la naturaleza como un ente protagonista de la historia del Estado en interacción con sus habitantes. Sin embargo, es verdad también que en esta interpretación romántica se necesita y se persigue incorporar visiones que nos permitan conservar el sistema de lagos en el largo plazo.
