Mental health has been in the news quite a bit lately. Dozens of U.S. states are currently suing Meta for contributing to the youth mental health crisis by inserting addictive features into their products, while the U.S. Surgeon General is touring the nation to bring awareness to the growing epidemic of loneliness and isolation. The country has endured periods of low national morale, such as in the 1970s when high inflation and the energy crisis worsened public sentiment following the Vietnam War. The current mood, however, feels different. Gallup recently reported that national mental health is at an all-time low, with few bright spots to lift spirits.
To better understand how Americans are feeling and their attitudes towards mental health in general, ThinkNow conducted a nationally representative quantitative survey of 1,500 respondents and found some interesting differences among ethnic, age and gender groups.
Technology
For example, 52% agree that technology and social media have a negative impact on mental health, but when broken out by race, 61% of Whites felt technology had a negative effect, and only 48% of Hispanics thought it did.
While technology has helped us keep in touch with friends and family in faraway places, it appears to have degraded our ability to connect in person. Staying connected online is a double-edged sword since the same news feed that brings us pictures of the grandkids and fluffy kittens also feeds us news about the wars in Israel and Ukraine, the dysfunction in Washington, the latest mass shooting and the climate crisis.
Hispanics may have a built-in defense against the isolation technology breeds, owing to their large, multigenerational households, strong social support systems, and tendency to use social media to stay connected with relatives abroad.
Age and Gender
When asked how individuals rate their mental health, men rate it higher than women by 11 percentage points, and Baby Boomers rank it highest at 83%, saying it’s good or excellent vs. 57% of Gen Z saying the same.
Gen Z spends the most amount of time on social media, so the notion that social media negatively affects mental health appears to be correlated. Unfortunately, Gen Z is also the generation that’s least comfortable discussing mental health concerns with healthcare professionals. Only 40% of them state they’re comfortable discussing their issues with a professional compared to 60% of Millennials and 65% of Boomers.
Race Affects Attitudes
As seen in previous research conducted by ThinkNow, Asian Americans lag other groups when it comes to awareness of mental health issues. Twenty-four percent of Asian Americans believe that having a mental health issue is a sign of weakness compared to the 16% average for all groups. Asians are also considerably less likely to be aware of mental health services in their communities (42% vs. 55%) and most likely to seek out information on social media (51% vs. 35%).

C++ is an enhanced and extended version of C programming language, developed by Bjarne Stroustrup in 1979 as part of his Ph.D. project. 13. El Cmte. de batallón para obtener éxito en la planificación y conducción de operaciones debe

El comandante del batallón lo ejerce mediante la participación personal y el contacto directo con

Buscar obtener en forma continua y oportuna información sobre el enemigo, para conocer con precisión
su magnitud, posibilidades y debilidades.

Cuando se recibe del escalón superior una nueva misión o la situación ha sufrido variaciones, el Cmte. y
su plana mayor, analizan los factores que afectan a los posibles cursos de acción y después de haber
recibido las recomendaciones en todos los campos, el Cmte. decide lo que debe hacerse.
16. Asignar misiones a sus repartos
Las tareas asignadas a los repartos subordinados son el
producto de una planificación detallada y del conocimiento
cabal de las capacidades de sus unidades subordinados.
17. Proporcionar medios
Tendrá cuidado de dotar de medios a todos los repartos ya sean estos: combate, apoyo de
combate y apoyo de servicio de combate
18. Conducir a sus fuerzas
Tratará de supervisar y dirigir el combate personalmente,
cuando no sea posible porque el tiempo o la situación no lo
permiten, lo hará mediante órdenes y disposiciones a su plana
mayor y comandantes subordinados

Tomará las medidas apropiadas para asegurarse de
que se cuente con los abastecimientos necesarios para

44. • Se refieren a hechos concretos y contienen tareas específicas que debe
cumplirse en un periodo determinado.
• Es una función inherente al Cmte.
• Las órdenes dictadas deben preverse y distribuirse a los Cmtes.
Subordinados con tiempo suficiente.
• Cuando no se pueda emitir órdenes completas, los detalles posteriores y
esenciales se los hace conocer con órdenes fragmentarias.
• Es cualquier comunicación que dispone el inicio de una operación.

46. Comprenden las disposiciones para la ejecución de operaciones administrativas
normales, guarnición o de servicio de campaña:

Contemplan el tipo de combate o la actividad que realizarán las unidades para
cumplir una misión táctica.
Modalidades la ord. Op.: Ord. Frag / ord. Prep.
Se emplea cuando una comunicación contiene objetivos amplios o planes
estratégicos, es promulgada por comandantes de grandes unidades.
Aquella que el comandante emite para proporcionar apoyo administrativo
coordinado a su unidad.
Prescriben los procedimientos rutinarios que deben seguirse en las operaciones.
Se refieren a operaciones en campaña:

tiempo y conservar la energía de las
tropas.
Orden fragmentaria
Se emplea cuando por aspectos de
tiempo y espacio, no se pueden emitir

Utilizado para que el cuerpo de la orden
sea breve, claro y sencillo
Puede ser gráfico (calco) o escrito
Se identifican con letras mayúsculas
Ejemplo: anexo “b” (calco de operaciones) a la orden de operaciones “001”

Se identifican con números arábigos
Ejemplo: apéndice “1” (plan de fuego aéreo) al anexo “c” (plan de apoyo de fuegos) a la

Puede ser gráfico (calco) o escrito
Se identifican con letras minúsculas
Ejemplo: Suplemento “a” (fuegos a pedido) al apéndice “1” (plan de fuego aéreo) al
anexo “c” (plan de apoyo de fuegos) a la orden de operaciones “001”

53. Documento aclaratorio de un suplemento
Puede ser gráfico (calco) o escrito
Se identifican con números arábigos
Ejemplo: Agregado 1 (lista de blancos) al suplemento “a” (fuegos a pedido) al apéndice
“1” (plan de fuego aéreo) al anexo “c” (plan de apoyo de fuegos) a la orden de
operaciones “001”
