 Nearly half of the total IKEA carbon emission – 15 mio. tons – are originating from the raw material we use. CO2
  • 6. Only 1% of plastic is bio-based
 
Only 1 percent of all plastics produced in society today are bio-based plastics – this out of a total global plastic production of 8 tones pr. second! P
  • 7. 750 mio.
 750 mio. people do not have access to fresh drinking water. Farming, dyeing and manufacturing of materials are all water intensive processes.
  • 8. Hazardous chemical
 Hazardous Chemicals still exists in products and materials we use in our every day life.

 To transform the making of materials we need to collaborate to overcome systemic roadblocks and scaling of new sustainable innovations.
