Millennials part 2
1. The Millennials, another repackaged pseudo generation, part 2
1. The Millennials are expanding the digital divide and by forwarding that phenomenon they
are deepening the chasm of social inequalities. Even if the digital divide is not socio-political
issue anymore, social media and digitally converged media environment have absolutely no
positive impact on eradicating social inequalities. Furthermore, absolute codependence to
technology and media makes one vulnerable, and what is about to commence is virtual
guerilla warfare rather than happy ending, and we all work together.
2. Technology today apart from not being able of liberating us, regressed social development
back to industrial revolution and Marx’s historic materialism; the worker being a pendant to
the machine; and not the homo faber becoming homo ludens.
3. Convergence and like phenomena began the liberalization of the society and its process,
however it seems the infrastructure which was supposed to liberalize the social
infrastructure failed to accomplish its task, since yet again it collapsed back into the social
contract and its rigid infrastructure.
4. Not only that the system that came out of six-degrees-of-separation theory (social media) is
dead, it never utilized the power of network distribution, as well as idiosyncratic and
whimsical property of the network/neural system. Furthermore, social media turned
superior system into suppressed infrastructure, which retarded social development instead
of pushing it forward. (‘cause the soc networking became more like a mining, an’ it aint fun
anymore).
5. Any socio-political action is a part of the same impotent system (social contract), and the
media turns them into pseudo events, collapsing the references into the same reality they
refer to, creating a hyperreality and zero value (Baudrillard, 1981).
6. The new technologies are supposed to create values and take us to next step of the evolution
cycle(s); into actualization of the (free) being, multiple and parallel existences, absolute
cognition, but somehow I am not convinced we are on the right track with this media clutter
and media smog that is inevitably ending in media hum or snow crash (Num-Shub, I ve just
rebooted your brain), unless we are able to turn this hum into unlimited polilog, and execute
a brainharvest.
7. The only way out from this mess is crashing down the infrastructure and uploading a
(supra)system, which could only be recognized through the new syntax.
2. Millennials are coming, and I have to bugger off. Oh no, I am so fuckin’ scared of those ‘tards I am
shitting my pants. I have nice arsenal prepared for them, but actually I don’t need it since I can blow
them away altogether with couple of sentences.
Another packaged and repackaged generation, installed with an idea to have some kind of power and
influence; selling them postmodern hyperreal empty rhetoric; this has already become so corny.
Couple of days ago I was watching a feature on CNN, on so called Millennials, and I was screaming of
laughter. One of the represented said, I am 26, and I am a blogger, jeeeez what a frigin achievement
(Mozart started composing when he was 5, Alexander the Great conquer the world in his 20-ies, and
I don’t even want to mention Nikola Tesla, because it will be an insult). The other girl said; I cannot
live without my iPhone, because I feel naked. You moron, don’t you know the same gadget is being
produced in a factory in China, where workers are being literally exploited to death.
But no, social responsibility does not concern you, and there is couple of answers why that is so:
either you are retarded, either you are becoming drones; either you just want to take the power
from the same idiots you are. But the things is, the power isn’t in the hands of who you think it is
(baby-boomers or similar pseudo generation), the power on this planet is for centuries in the hands
of the people you cannot even comprehend who they are, and here comes the paradox: you are
actually working for them!
If you want to get rid of them, you would need a vision, a way better ideology and a smarter strategy
than, - step away, we know how to do the job better than you, because that is exactly what they
want you to do. Why don’t you try to eradicate poverty, slavery and solve the issues that trouble the
world? Instead you choose to perpetuate the same problems. Why don’t you roll you sleeves and go
to Rwanda, Kenya, Bangladesh, instead of choosing to become corporate pawns and part of the same
perverted game, and even more, you are being proud of it.
They make technocratic drones out of you, and you gonna serve them to the end, because you got
the jobs you probably don’t deserve. Even if you do deserve the jobs, the new idioms on the
evolution menu are: truth, loyalty, justice and freedom; and you are already outdated if you cannot
comprehend that.
Socio-politically reality is becoming grimmer and you cannot do anything about it, since you are not
equipped, have no vision, and of course, you are brainwashed.
We all have to participate in the evolution, which could only come through individually centered
process and not through dominance and social adaptation. Si talia jungere possis sit tibi scire satis -
"If thou canst; comprehend these things, thou knowest enough. “
