The IMF operates two HySpex line scan cameras, models VNIR 1600 and SWIR 320m-e, mounted on an aircraft to collect high-resolution spatial and spectral reference data. The two sensors cover similar spectral ranges and operate similarly, making them suitable for simulating and validating data from Germany's hyperspectral satellite EnMAP. While designed for aircraft use, the sensors can also operate on the ground, in the lab, or in the field. The table summarizes the sensors' characteristics such as spectral range, channels, resolution, and more.
