Christmas traditions in Greece.

1. CHRISTMAS TRADITIONS IN GREECE

2. At the beginning of December we
decorate a Christmas tree.
On Greek islands they decorate
a boat.

3. On Christmas Eve children go out
singing carols in the streets. They play
the drums and triangles as they sing.

4. We prepare Christmas sweets

kourabiedes

5. kataifi baklava

6. Going to Early Morning Mass Service
is very important.

7. After the Service people go home and
eat Christopsomo (Christ bread) –
a round sweet loaf of bread decorated
with a cross.

8. The whole family comes together and
they have a Christmas meal.
They eat roasted pork and stuffed
turkey served with potatoes, cheese,
various salads and vegetables.
They drink red wine.
