3. 2 Types of Permission Settings
• Security Roles
• Permissions/Functionality is based on a group of users
• Allows for multiple function permissions to be associated with a single security role
• Custom security roles can be created to allow functionality outside of standard security
role settings
• User/Security Role designation is available in Enterprise
• Standard Security Roles
• Staffing Specialist – provides access to all front office records and data
(Employees/Customers/Orders/Assignments/Contacts)
• Payclerk – allows access to set up screens that affect payroll/invoicing as well as ability
to process/correct paychecks/invoices

• Function Permissions
• Allow access to certain functions within TempWorks
• Control options in Actions drop down lists and right click functionality
• Permissions are based on user Security Role Settings
• Config Settings
• Permissions/Functionality is based on single users, branch wide, entity wide or system
wide
• Config settings are NOT security role based
• Allow additional functionality
• Call customer specific processes
• Control default values in records

5. Function Permissions You Probably Don’t Know About!
• Undo Check Corrections – if a check is voided/reversed or reissued in error, you can use
this function to “undo” the correction. TW will insert negating transactions to undo a
check correction

6. Function Permissions You Probably Don’t Know About!
• Recalculate Worker Comp – if an order had the wrong worker comp code on it, or if the
rate changed in the past, the Worker Comp Cost can be recalculated

7. Function Permissions You Probably Don’t Know About!
• Can Create Employee EEO – allows the EEO section to be visible so that the Staffing
Specialist can enter the data, but once data is entered, the EEO section is no longer
visible

• Can Edit Employee EEO – allows the EEO section to be visible and edited by the user

9. Function Permissions You Probably Don’t Know About!
• Can Use Gross Up Calculator – turns on the Gross Up calculator used when calculating
round amount bonuses

• Can Create WC Federal Timecard – turns on the ability to create a full federal Web
Center timecard from Enterprise

• Allows for Custom Procedures for:
• Creating Timecards (CtxnsAppendCustomProcedure)
• Transferring Employees to Other Branches (EmployeeBranchTransferCustomProc)
• Updating Order Statuses Automatically (OrderStatusCustomProcedure)
• Merging Employees (UMergeAidentCustomProcedure)
• Many others….

• Insert your Company Logo on all Reports!

13. Config Settings You Probably Don’t Know About!
• Set a Default Check Date – when processing payroll, this allows you to set a number of days after the
weekendbill date that the check date in payrollruns will default to (fxCheckDateOffset)
• Set a Default Invoice Date – when processing invoices, this allows you to set a number of days after the
weekendbill date that the invoice date in invoiceruns will default to (fxInvoiceDateOffset)
• Void Epay Checks After ACH – allows an epay check to be voided after the ACH File has been generated -
useful when direct deposits are rejected (VoidEpayPostACH)
• Remove Default Multiplier Codes – allows removal of multiplier codes from customer defaults even if they
have been used on orders/asmts (AllowRemovalOfDefaultMultiplierCodes)
