5. Normally, when a person remembers
something, the mind is very fast and information
comes to him quickly. But drugs blur memory,
causing blank spots.
6. One lie told about drugs is that they help
a person become more creative. The
truth is quite different.
7. Drugs can appear initially to have positive effects
– lifting your mood, relaxing you or even giving you more
energy. However, they can also have negative impacts on your
mental and physical health, your
relationships, and your life in general.
8. Drug dealers, motivated by the
profits they make, will say
anything to get you to buy their
drugs.
9. You recognize that you cannot use drugs and alcohol like
others and that you may need treatment and ongoing
support to prevent relapse. Is it possible to prevent drug
addiction altogether? Anything is possible, but if you are
predisposed genetically to addiction your chances are greater
for developing an addiction.
