2. What is Casual Games?
• 以往的主機式遊戲（ Console games, PC games,
etc. ） 玩 家 多 數 必 須 投 入 大 量 時 間 以 及 心 力 去
「適應」該類型遊戲，並且預先須具備一定程度
的遊戲經驗才容易上手，導致無遊戲經驗背景的
玩家對於複雜度較高的遊戲持有排斥感。
• Casual games 可解釋為，玩家利用休閒時間隨時
唾手可得的遊戲。不需要大量的時間去遊玩，遊
戲內容簡而易懂，即使為新手也能 夠快速進入遊
戲情境。

3. What is Social + Casual Games?
• 利用 Casual games 的特性吸引到許多遊戲新手
前來遊玩（包含原本的遊戲老手），將社交元素
納入其內以增加遊戲的「黏性」（ stickiness ）
。
• Social casual games 其特性為玩家可利用「廣
播」的功能傳達訊息給朋友們，並可追蹤其他朋
友的遊玩情形或進度，以及互相作挑戰。

• 2004 年由哈佛大學學生 Mark Zuckerberg 建立
（ with Eduardo Saverin, Dustin Moskovitz and
Chris Hughes ） 。最初名稱為 Thefacebook ，
用於哈佛大學的學生們，後來漸漸擴增至其他學
校 如 Graduate schools in Boston area, Ivy
League universities and Stanford university.
