Organization That We Have Selected Is: AIESEC
AIESEC was founded in 1948, following the end of WWII when
there was a need to protect peace and enable greater cultural
understanding. Since then they are delivering world-class youth
development experiences.
Recent annual report (2013): AIESEC currently present in 124
countries, coordinating by over 70,000 AIESECers around the
world.
Why AIESEC?
AIESEC is a global non-political, independent, not-for-profit
organization run by students and recent graduates of
institutions of higher education; they connect individuals to
engage in numerous opportunities to interact where they learn
to share knowledge and experiences that will help them to
develop valuable skills for their career.
It helps to build leadership skills in an individual and only a
good leader has proficient knowledge of each area of their work
so they can properly communicate their objectives and ideas
with people and can figure out the problems.
PURPOSE OF THIS ASSIGNMENT:
We all know that knowledge management is basically about the
process of sharing perspective, ideas, experiences &
information. If employees of any organization get better
awareness about the knowledge management system, they can
have multiple benefits. Some of the benefits are:
 Better & faster decision making
 Easy to find relevant information & resources
 Reusing ideas & expertise
 To avoid making the same mistakes twice
 Stimulate innovation & growth
 To show customers how knowledge is used for their
benefit.
So the purpose of this assignment is to spread awareness
related to the importance of knowledge management among
employees & also to know about the employee’s perception
about the knowledge management system. So the organization
can get success efficiently & effectively.
KM helps the organizations to learn, share, manage and find
the ways to make the information useful.

SUMMARY OF DATA:
We have sent our survey to 11 people and out of 11 we have
collected 6 members’s responses; they are the main of AIESEC
Hyderabad, the data has been gathered from president, vice
presidents and team leaders.
The reason to collect data from them is because they are the part
of top management and they know well about the organization’s
policies. We used Google forms to conduct the survey.
ANALYSIS OF DATA:
The responses are somewhat equal; most of them answered the
same like they said:
 They have a proper setup related to the KM but they call it by
another name and that is “legal Knowledge and Research &
development”. (50%)
 Some of them said top management should be more
concerned about KM and make all of them responsible towards
their work. (30%)
 They think lack of participation is the biggest barrier in the
proper implementation of KM in AIESEC. (40%)
 For them, group meetings are the most effective medium to
share the knowledge. (60%)
RESULTS:
As the above results indicated yes they have KM system in their
organization but they have to be more responsible towards it to
get the most out of it.

  • 3. “Led by youth for youth” Organization That We Have Selected Is: AIESEC AIESEC was founded in 1948, following the end of WWII when there was a need to protect peace and enable greater cultural understanding. Since then they are delivering world-class youth development experiences. Recent annual report (2013): AIESEC currently present in 124 countries, coordinating by over 70,000 AIESECers around the world. Why AIESEC? AIESEC is a global non-political, independent, not-for-profit organization run by students and recent graduates of institutions of higher education; they connect individuals to engage in numerous opportunities to interact where they learn to share knowledge and experiences that will help them to develop valuable skills for their career. It helps to build leadership skills in an individual and only a good leader has proficient knowledge of each area of their work so they can properly communicate their objectives and ideas with people and can figure out the problems.
  • 4. PURPOSE OF THIS ASSIGNMENT: We all know that knowledge management is basically about the process of sharing perspective, ideas, experiences & information. If employees of any organization get better awareness about the knowledge management system, they can have multiple benefits. SUMMARY OF DATA: We have sent our survey to 11 people and out of 11 we have collected 6 members’s responses; they are the main of AIESEC Hyderabad, the data has been gathered from president, vice presidents and team leaders. The reason to collect data from them is because they are the part of top management and they know well about the organization’s policies. We used Google forms to conduct the survey. ANALYSIS OF DATA: The responses are somewhat equal; most of them answered the same like they said:  They have a proper setup related to the KM but they call it by another name and that is “legal Knowledge and Research & development”. (50%)  Some of them said top management should be more concerned about KM and make all of them responsible towards their work. (30%)  They think lack of participation is the biggest barrier in the proper implementation of KM in AIESEC. (40%)  For them, group meetings are the most effective medium to share the knowledge. (60%) RESULTS: As the above results indicated yes they have KM system in their organization but they have to be more responsible towards it to get the most out of it.
