•Energy is the ability of
an object to transform
itself or to produce
changes in other
objects.

has kinetic energy,
how much kinetic

depends on its mass
and velocity.
Potential
• Exists as a potential
movement, as higher
is an object has more
or less potential
energy, how much
potential energy has
an object depends
on its mass and
position.

4. Chemical
Chemical energy is stored in
certain chemical substances.
Example:Pasta.
It breaks down the
carbohydrates into sugar for
energy.

5. Electrical
Electrical energy is energy in the form of
electricity.
Is the most common form of energy in
industries and at homes.
We distribute this energy throug metal wires,
we can store this energy in batteries.

6. Thermal
Is energy in the form of heat.
When an object gains thermal energy it heats
up.
When an object releases it cools down.

7. Light
o Light energy is energy in the form of light.
o The sun is a natural source of light.
o Electric lamp and torches are artificial sources
of light.

8. Nuclear
 Nuclear energy is stored in the atomic
structure of all matter.
 Scientis can release this by breaking down
radioactive materials like: uranium
 When that happens it produce a nuclear
reaction.
