2. INTRODUCTION
Event management is the process of planning festivals, ceremony, competition, party, concert or convention. Event planning can include budgeting, establishing dates and alternate dates, selecting and reserving the event site, acquiring permits, co-ordinating transportation and parking, developing the theme or motif for the event arranging for speakers and alternate speakers, co-ordinating location support and security, catering, emergency plans, aid station and clean-up. Event management is the application of project management to this process.
It is the process of managing a project such as a meeting , convention, trade show, ceremony, team building activity, party or convention. Event management is a multifaceted activity, major constitutes of this profile includes creativity, maticulous and planning. Event management is the co-ordination, running and planning of all the people, team and features that come together to create every kind of events.
Event management is very important especially in holding a festival. It has a vital role in a festival, because it will represent the image of the festival itself and the place of the festival, which is either be accepted or not by the guests, visitors, tourist and other people. The most important thing to do is to established a vision of what to be achieved, careful planning and preparation, high level objectives to be undertaken and lastly effective promotion of the event or festival to encourage more visitors to come and accept the festival.
The industry now includes events of all sizes from the Olympics down to a break fast meeting for 10 people. Many industries, charitable organization and interest group will hold events of some size inorder to market themselves, build business, relationships raise money or celebrate.
3. Event management is considered as one of the strategies of marketing tools by companies of all size. From product launches, companies create promotional events to help them communicates with clients and potential clients. A number of elements, such as music, live entertainment or even the particular venue may be used to influence the tone and atmosphere of an event. Event Management may also use news media to target their audience, hoping to generate media coverage which will reach thousands or millions of people.
Money is an important factor in Event Management. The event budget predicting the financial outcome of an event. The event budgets is a projections of the income and expenditure that the event will incur based on plans made and information gathered. The preparation of a budget is an essential past of event management. It is fundamentally important that even directors are able to predict with reasonable accuracy whether the event will result in a profit, a loss or will break even. Once the event budget has been constructed, the event director has a means to exercise control of the event finances. The preparation of an event budget is one of the earliest tasks to be undertaken in the event management process.
Event Manager
Event manage is a person who direct events. Event Manager are responsible for organizing and running all kinds or events. To become an event manager, you will need to have good communication skills. You will need to be good at problem. Solving You will also need to have lots of determination and a positive attitude.
Events are much like a stage performance and event manager, show director. Choreographing various elements that make an event successful is imperative to the success of any event. Great organizational skill are the basic under

Excellent event manager takes time to consider the most important element of an event and focus their efforts on every minute detail for the thing that matter most to their customers. Every event manager should have the skill of understanding people, connect them and build lasting relationships.

Event management is the co-ordination, running and planning of events. Event management is and exciting and growing industry, as well as unique career opportunity for everyone with a passion for the planning and organising events such as concerts, conventions, parties wedding and other gatherings.
Event management is a service oriented field of work where you will be dealing with people from all walk of society in large congregation. It deals with human behavior and idiosyncrasies which will require tactful and diplomatic skills. Apart from dealing with people characteristics it also mean the overall performance of handling an event from start to finish such the event planning stage, budget management, creativity and work flow management.
Event management team needs strong leadership to be at its bet negotiations between the clients, company or venues. Staff requires flexibility, quick thinking, buckets of initiative and exceptional decision making. A particular ability to spot good compromises and know what is essential to the success of the event makes out an excellent event team leaders.
