Breed History
The origins of the Cadoodle are not fully known, but the breed either started in the United States or
Great Britain. The Cadoodle is a mix of 50% Collie / 50% Poodle.

Color: Coats can be multi-colored consisting of White, Grey, Blue, Tan, Black
Coat: Thick and stiff outer-coat with a soft yet thick undercoat.
Appearance
Cadoodles size can vary depending on the size of the Poodle used to breed. A Cadoodle can either be
small to medium sized.
Temperament
Cadoodles are great family dogs. They will protect their loved ones, but are also great around children
and other pets. Some Cadoodles can be shy and will need to be watched when they are next to
strangers.

Issues: Cadoodles (like many hybrid dogs) do not have very many serious health issues.
Life Expectancy: 12-14 years
Grooming: Cadoodles need to have regular grooming to prevent their coats from becoming entangled
and matted. However, grooming is dependent upon which breed the Cadoodle inherits it's coat from.
Cadoodles which inherit the coat traits from Poodles require more grooming than Cadoodles that inherit
coat traits from Collies.
Exercise: Cadoodles require regular exercise and will need one to two walks daily to stay happy. They
are fairly active and need to be both physically and mentally exercised.
Living: Cadoodles are great family dogs and do well in both small apartments and outside fenced in
areas.
