    15
ADVANTAGES OF THE BUILDINGS

1. To build more leisure place for students and lecturers of Taylor’s University.
Besides sports, students and lecturers also can get entertainment in karaoke
   room.

16
DISADVANTAGES OF THE BUILDING

 1. This place may lead to fighting and drunken incident happen.

 2. This place may increase the absenteeism of student because students
prefer to have fun compare with study.

 3. This place may create unhealthy lifestyle among students because they
only know how to enjoy and forget their responsibility as a student.

 4. This place may create sound pollution which will influence other students
      who having their class.

     WAYS TO OVERCOME DISADVANTAGES

      1. To overcome the problems of fighting and drunken we can employ
more security to control the place and of course we can install CCTV
system to watch over what’s happening in the karaoke rooms.
      2. To overcome students’ absenteeism problem, the report of students’
attendance should send to their parent regularly. Besides every
lecturers should take seriously in every classes attendance so that
students will concern about their attendance.
      3. To overcome the students’ unhealthy lifestyle problem, we should
paste more posters about responsibility as a student to encourage
         them to have healthy lifestyle.
      4. To overcome the problem of sound pollution, the materials which used
for the karaoke room must be sound proof material. For examples,
sound proof walls, better quality bricks, sound proof doors and etc.

CONCLUSION

As a conclusion, my karaoke part is a good place for students and lecturers of
Taylor’s University to have fun, enjoy and relax themselves. My karaoke part is a
free wifi zone. Users can connect to wifi anytime. Besides, my karaoke part has good
ventilation and drainage system which will create a great and harmony place for
users to enjoy singing. However, my karaoke has limited rooms, so for those who
want to enjoy singing here must book first before come. This place is mainly for
gathering and celebrating purpose. So, for those who are birthday on that day they
are very welcome to celebrate their birthday here. Mystery gift will be given out for
the birthday girl or birthday boy. At the end, I promise this place will not create any
problems for Taylor’s University.

INTRODUCTION

Since 1969 for over four decades, Taylor’s higher education division has taken on
the mantle of developing the nation’s youth into well-rounded, competitive and
resilient human capital, contributing towards the development of Malaysia’s
economic growth and prosperity. From its humble beginnings to its rise into a
trademark of excellence and a global brand name, Taylor’s has scaled greater
heights, constantly expanding its developmental horizons to stay abreast with the
times. Every year a lot of new students would come to school. When they join the
new life, they are more excited and happy. At the school they want to study more
knowledge and have a good experience for our life. They are young people, they are
interested about anything. In TAYLOR’S university there are many free spaces are
not used. We choose a free place. The place is on the lake between the hostel and
academic building which we are planning to develop it.

  36
OBJECTIVE

The students face many problems in Taylor's university. The first problem is
students cannot cook in the hostel. This rule nobody can change it so we are not
allowed to cook inside. It is problem for a lot of students because they usually like
cooking their selves and they don’t like eating from the restaurants. They think eating
in the restaurants are unhealthy and it is expensive. Secondly they don’t have place
to make parties with their classmates. We can’t celebrate for some important
festivals. Because many international students live in the hostel, we are also need a
place to celebrate for important festival for instance china new year, the Christmas or
someone's birthday. However school don’t have place for us to solve those problem.

       PART 3
MINI SHOPPING CENTRE

46
INTRODUCTION

I have proposed a mini shopping centre whereby students and lecturers will
be able to buy some of the things they need there. This shopping centre contains a
variety of things such as clothes, jewels, handbags, shoes and phone accessories.
So instead of going to a shopping mall one can opt to buy some items here.

This shopping centre is divided based on the items sold. If a person wants
clothes, they can be found in one section so he/she doesn’t waste time going
around. Same applies for other items sold in this mini shopping centre. In general, it
is divided into five sections: clothes, jewels, handbags, shoes and phone
accessories.

The area of this section is 23m*8m which is 184m2.

   47
SECTION

  48
ZONING

49
OBJECTIVES

   • To save time from going to the shopping mall.
   • For students/lecturers/ staff to refresh themselves.
   • To provide necessities that mostly the students need which are clothes,
shoes, phone accessories, handbags and jewellery.

TARGETED USERS

The targeted users of this proposal are the students, staff and lecturers in Taylor’s
University Lakeside campus. After classes or during break hours, these targeted
users can visit this area and get what they need or they can even just go to refresh.

ADVANTAGES

   • Provides the important necessities which people need.
   • Acts as a refreshment area.
   • It creates employment opportunities for the ones who sell their items there.
   • It is targeted for everyone.
   • The location doesn’t distract activities held in Taylor’s University such as
       lectures.
   • Visitors are also invited.

    50
DISADVANTAGES

    • Can be crowded because the area is not too big.
    • The shopping centre is not 24-hours like the rest of the building.
    • The shopping centre might not have the exact thing a person wants because
          it is small.

WAYS TO OVERCOME DISADVANTAGES

   • There should be enough pathways (pavement area) for people to pass.
   • The shopping centre should have the most common things that a person
        needs.

OUTER LAYOUT

The outer layer is covered by red representing part of Taylor’s logo. The roof is red in
colour.

57
CONCLUSION

I propose a mini shopping centre to provide the basic things that we need in
everyday life. This will help those who don’t get enough time to go around shopping
malls looking for things they need. It has no discrimination since everyone is invited
to shop there.

Therefore, I propose a shopping centre to be available.

       PART 4
     BRIDGE PART

59
INTRODUCTION
 NTRODUCTION

My group has chosen to build a 24 hours building with the shape of Taylor’s
logo and with the bridge. For my proposal, I choose the bridge and I make a bridge
for this building. I have plan for each bridge to make 5m × 8m. These bridges are a
connecting bridges and this building is located between two bridges. I have planned
to create and design two bridges for the Taylor’s student especially who lives in
hostel. I want to make a relaxing place, modern place and safety place for them to
they have the better life in Taylor’s and they enjoy their life in Taylor’s University
Lakeside Campus.

   60
SECTION

          TWO BRIDGES

  61
OBJECTIVES
   1. To provide a comfortable space for student to hang out
   2. Make the available space to look better and more attractive
   3. Provide entertainment for student
   4. Provide more place for students to study and discuss about their project and
      assignment
   5. Relaxing place for the students, staffs and lecturers
   6. To provide the students with more facilities for the students to improve their
      skills

TARGETED USERS

In my proposal my targeted users are the staffs, lecturers, students especially
who lives in hostel and visitors who come to Taylor’s University Lakeside Campus.
Thus, the students can easily access these bridges to relax themselves after long
hours of class and assignment. The students who live in hostel can use this place
anytime they want and they can enjoy their life because it’s a 24 hours place.

ADVANTAGES

   1. It’s a windy place
   2. The bridges are very close to the parking, Block E classroom and hostel
   3. Relaxing place for everyone
   4. 24 hours place for student who lives in hostel
   5. Lake view
   6. These bridges provide a place for students to study and have discussion

   62
DISADVANTAGES

  1. The location of the bridges are far from Block A, B, C and D
  2. The bridges are open space with no shadow
  3. The bridges can be a little dangerous to risk of falling
  4. Hot weather

WAYS TO OVERCOME DISADVANTAGES

  1. The location of the bridges are far from Block A, B, C and D but still the user
prefer to come here because it’s 24 hours, it’s an interesting place and quiet
     place with a lake view.
  2. The bridges are open space with no shadows. So I have planned to put some
     beach umbrella and pergola.
  3. The bridges can be a little dangerous to risk of falling but I have planned to
design the beautiful fencing so it can help reduce the occurrence of falling.
  4. The weather in Malaysia is so hot and humid and this place is an open place
so I have planned to put a dry ice and fan to help the issue.

   76
CONCLUSION

In brief, in this project I make plan for two connecting bridges. My goal in this
proposal is to make the attractive and relaxing place for Taylor’s University Lakeside
Campus and users. Our group goal from build this 24 hours building is for the
students who lives in hostel because in Taylor’s University we don’t have any 24
hours restaurant and sitting place, so we discuss together and we decided to create
this place. I hope everyone like and enjoy their life and their time with my plan.

    77
SUMMARY

This is the end of our company’s proposal to build a building in Taylor’s
University. Firstly, the karaoke part can bring fun for everyone to release their stress.
Besides, the 24 hours restaurants and BBQ part is a great place for party or outdoor
activities. Guys can also enjoy the football match with a gang of friends. There is no
more worry if you are hungry at the midnight, supper? No problem. Thirdly, the mini
shopping centre is girls’ favorite. They can enjoy shopping there to fill their free time.
It is easier for them to get their needed things in Taylor’s University. If you are lazy to
go out for shopping, Taylor’s University is the best place for you to enjoy shopping.
The last part is the bridge which connected to both important block, Commercial
Blocks and Block C, D and E. It will easier for users to reach our buildings and this
also can increase the number of users to come here.

Our building has good drainage system, ventilation system. Wifi connection,
electric power system and etc. We promised we will build a safety and good quality
building in Taylor’s University and of course clean up after construction ended to
avoid water pollution. Thank you .

From its humble beginnings to its rise into a trademark of excellence and a global brand name, Taylor’s has scaled greater heights, constantly expanding its developmental horizons to stay abreast with the times. Every year a lot of new students would come to school. When they join the new life, they are more excited and happy. At the school they want to study more knowledge and have a good experience for our life. They are young people, they are interested about anything. In TAYLOR’S university there are many free spaces are not used. We choose a free place. The place is on the lake between the hostel and academic building which we are planning to develop it. 35

It is problem for a lot of students because they usually like cooking their selves and they don’t like eating from the restaurants. They think eating in the restaurants are unhealthy and it is expensive. Secondly they don’t have place to make parties with their classmates. We can’t celebrate for some important festivals. Because many international students live in the hostel, we are also need a place to celebrate for important festival for instance china new year, the Christmas or someone's birthday. However school don’t have place for us to solve those problem. • 46. PROPOSAL PROPOSAL 3 OPO MERCY ONESMO KAMALA 0311314 PART 3 MINI SHOPPING CENTRE 46
  • 47. INTRODUCTION I have proposed a mini shopping centre whereby students and lecturers will be able to buy some of the things they need there. This shopping centre contains a variety of things such as clothes, jewels, handbags, shoes and phone accessories. So instead of going to a shopping mall one can opt to buy some items here. This shopping centre is divided based on the items sold. If a person wants clothes, they can be found in one section so he/she doesn’t waste time going around. Same applies for other items sold in this mini shopping centre. In general, it is divided into five sections: clothes, jewels, handbags, shoes and phone accessories. The area of this section is 23m*8m which is 184m2. 47
  • 50. OBJECTIVES • To save time from going to the shopping mall. • For students/lecturers/ staff to refresh themselves. • To provide necessities that mostly the students need which are clothes, shoes, phone accessories, handbags and jewellery. TARGETED USERS The targeted users of this proposal are the students, staff and lecturers in Taylor’s University Lakeside campus. After classes or during break hours, these targeted users can visit this area and get what they need or they can even just go to refresh. ADVANTAGES • Provides the important necessities which people need. • Acts as a refreshment area. • It creates employment opportunities for the ones who sell their items there. • It is targeted for everyone. • The location doesn’t distract activities held in Taylor’s University such as lectures. • Visitors are also invited. 50
  • 51. DISADVANTAGES • Can be crowded because the area is not too big. • The shopping centre is not 24-hours like the rest of the building. • The shopping centre might not have the exact thing a person wants because it is small. WAYS TO OVERCOME DISADVANTAGES • There should be enough pathways (pavement area) for people to pass. • The shopping centre should have the most common things that a person needs. OUTER LAYOUT The outer layer is covered by red representing part of Taylor’s logo. The roof is red in colour. 51
  • 53. Clothes 53
  • 56. MATERIALS USED 1. Pavement • Marble flooring • Brown colour 2. Chair • Metal • Colour: black and white 56
  • 57. 3. Table • Metal • Silver colour 4. Plant pot • Clay pot • Grey colour 5. Shoe rack • Wooden • Brown colour 6. Cloth hanger • Plastic • With tyres under • Colour: black and silver 57
  • 58. CONCLUSION I propose a mini shopping centre to provide the basic things that we need in everyday life. This will help those who don’t get enough time to go around shopping malls looking for things they need. It has no discrimination since everyone is invited to shop there. Therefore, I propose a shopping centre to be available. 58
  • 59. PROPOSAL PROPOSAL 4 OPO MELIKA BORDBAR 0311455 PART 4 BRIDGE PART 59
  • 60. INTRODUCTION NTRODUCTION My group has chosen to build a 24 hours building with the shape of Taylor’s logo and with the bridge. Hot weather WAYS TO OVERCOME DISADVANTAGES 1. The location of the bridges are far from Block A, B, C and D but still the user prefer to come here because it’s 24 hours, it’s an interesting place and quiet place with a lake view. 2. The bridges are open space with no shadows. So I have planned to put some beach umbrella and pergola. 3. The bridges can be a little dangerous to risk of falling but I have planned to design the beautiful fencing so it can help reduce the occurrence of falling. 4. The weather in Malaysia is so hot and humid and this place is an open place so I have planned to put a dry ice and fan to help the issue. 63

  • 77. CONCLUSION In brief, in this project I make plan for two connecting bridges. My goal in this proposal is to make the attractive and relaxing place for Taylor’s University Lakeside Campus and users. Our group goal from build this 24 hours building is for the students who lives in hostel because in Taylor’s University we don’t have any 24 hours restaurant and sitting place, so we discuss together and we decided to create this place. I hope everyone like and enjoy their life and their time with my plan. 77
  • 78. SUMMARY This is the end of our company’s proposal to build a building in Taylor’s University. Firstly, the karaoke part can bring fun for everyone to release their stress. Besides, the 24 hours restaurants and BBQ part is a great place for party or outdoor activities. Guys can also enjoy the football match with a gang of friends. There is no more worry if you are hungry at the midnight, supper? No problem. Thirdly, the mini shopping centre is girls’ favorite. They can enjoy shopping there to fill their free time. It is easier for them to get their needed things in Taylor’s University. If you are lazy to go out for shopping, Taylor’s University is the best place for you to enjoy shopping. The last part is the bridge which connected to both important block, Commercial Blocks and Block C, D and E. It will easier for users to reach our buildings and this also can increase the number of users to come here. Our building has good drainage system, ventilation system. Wifi connection, electric power system and etc. We promised we will build a safety and good quality building in Taylor’s University and of course clean up after construction ended to avoid water pollution.
