February 26, 2013, the FCC clarifies that each
ILEC must either:

boundaries; or
◦ allow a state entity to submit and certify the data
on its behalf.

4. The ILECs and state worked together to create digital maps
verified by the companies in 1st half of 2013
On June 26, 2013, the Minnesota Commission:
1) accepted new digital maps as Minnesota’s official maps
2) approved maps for submission to the FCC
3) Clarified that disputes and any map changes must receive
Commission approval
MnGeo and Commerce submitted and certified all boundary
area data by June 28, 2013 to comply with the FCC
requirement.

December 31 of the previous year.

two years.
