What it is going on?
A major problem for disabled people is to get into or maintain a connection to the labour market.
In recent times, all effort has been put to force disabled people in traditional work. So, they have
to take bus every morning, go to work and tackle with all well known physical obstacles all day
long. However, if these people are employed in the form of "home based", then they will not
suffer, their productivity will increase. Furthermore, due to booming technology and IT
phenomena, distant learning and e-employment are growing in an exponential manner.
Knowing these circumstances, project e-Learning Virtual Center for People with Physical
Disabilities – e-LIFE has been developed
e-LIFE project
The concrete aim of this project is “to e-train people with physical disabilities for home based
employment by means of e-learning and introduce them to virtual working environment and let
them actually work at their home”.
The materials will be based on e-learning, enhancing the development of innovative ICT-based
content for lifelong learning of disabled people. With this methodology will be ensured that the
products can be reached by the target group because e-learning permits more accessibility, and
flexibility.
The project will reach to a wider audience because of availability in more languages.
Furthermore, adding voice and audio/video content to e-learning modules and bringing them to
SCORM compatible state will help the former products to re-value and sustain their exploitable

Partners presentation
Association H Foundation
Association “H-Foundation” (www.fundatiah.ro) is a non-governmental, non for profit, apolitical
organization, created in 1991 by a group of people dedicated to make the educational system
open to everyone. From their experience they understand the need for education and vocational
training for everyone, especially for people that are not enrolled in the formal educational
programs, no matter the reasons for which they are excluded. The mission of H-Foundation is to
assure equal chances of education and support for disadvantaged people, regardless of their
form of disability (physically, ethnically, socially or geographically).
Since 1998 H-Foundation have been implementing both national and international projects
under the aegis and financial support of the Grundtvig and Leonardo da Vinci program of the
European Commission which aim at contributing to the social, educational and labour
integration of disabled and disadvantages people in Romania.
POINT LLC
POINT (www.pnt-grp.com) is a general engineering and management company active since
1977 in an international manner. The international activities have served the organisation to
build up an extensive experience and knowledge both in execution and management of
integrated projects. POINT has also gained a large scope of experience in all kinds of sectoral
informal vocational training combined to e-learning. ICT applications and solutions against
employment problems of disabled people has been developed, together with needs models
since 1999, when first virtual employment portal (www.svaclub.com) was introduced to the
audience. Having such a background and recently developed training projects targeting
disabled people on its own (www.pedva.net) and some others together with leading universities
in Turkey, organisation has also accumulated a background in informal training based project
development concerning vocational training of disabled people.

3. COOP
COOP Institute of Education (www.vic.sk) is member of the AIVD – Adult Education Institutions
Association. COOP offers complex services on the field of adult education. COOP has been
active on the Slovak education market for numerous years now and during this time was able to
gather valuable experience. Originally established in 1983 as an education facility for consumer
cooperatives, COOP operates nation-wide and nowadays offers a wide spectrum of
professional education activities for various groups of clients in cooperation with other facilities
throughout Slovakia. Due to its orientation, in the history of the organisation COOP have
established valuable partnerships with various enterprises, labour market and business on local
and regional level that can be beneficial for the project development and outputs. Participation
within this project will enable COOP to extend its training activities and contribute to increase
the chances of disabled people getting a job and keeping it.
GAZI UNIVERSITY
Gazi (www.gazi.edu.tr) is one of the few universities whose history dates back to 1920s. Today,
carries out its educational and research activities with its 15 faculties, 4 colleges, 9 Vocational
High Schools, 35 research centers and 6 institutes and it still claims it is a higher education
institution. The University has nearly 60.000 students and over 4000 members of teaching stuff.
Gazi University is very decisive and ambitious in fulfilling the requirements of the Bologna
Process to which Turkey became a party in 2001. The university started bilateral cooperation on
student and academic staff mobility immediately after receiving Erasmus University Charter in
2004. The university also exhibits a great interest on EU Life Long Learning Programme had the
first place among Turkish universities as regards to projects supported by LdV Programme. In
2005, European Universities Association (EUA) membership of Gazi University became active.
FEPAMIC
FEPAMIC is a democratic NGO, with no official religion and independent from any public and
private organsation. Established in 1988 by disabled people, working for disabled people and
employing people with disabilities. FEPAMIC is an umbrella organsation representing,
supporting and leading 40 different disabled associations in Andalucia, south of Spain.
FEPAMIC is a regional referent organsation working and representing disabled people.
FEPAMIC has been awarded by regional government as a model institution, 2003 and has got a

4. certification on quality ISO 9001/2000 by Chamber of Commerce from Madrid. The mission of
the organization is the general improvement of the social integration of disabled into society.
FEPAMIC works on two main fields: 1) training and employment guidance for disabled 2)
promotion of social and political participation at local, regional, national and transnational level.
Since 1992 a Department of European projects is runing.
CLARUS
Clarus Advisory Services is an international company based in Athens, Greece, providing
services to organizations, companies and civil society groups on the fields of research,
management, lifelong learning and training solutions.
We were born with the clear mission to provide solutions for all sort of educational activities that
could enhance the skills and knowledge of anyone looking to improve his/her educational
background as well as offering companies the services and tools they need to provide so. Our
success is measured by how well people can apply their new product knowledge and skills to
improve their performance on the job. We have grown to provide our services worldwide,
creating and delivering all sort of educational and training products, and expanding our activities
through EU projects. Our staff is simply devoted to managing educational activities, always
learning in this fast-changing world and passionate for teaching and disseminating what the
outcome of our work is.
First meeting
At the kick off meeting individual modules were distributed among the partners:
Within the project will be developed 6 modules for computer oriented disabled people:
CADD, Graphics, Web design, MS Office, Virtual Assistant, Other Office Utilities and
establish an e-platform which will serve those people to work as a freelance, selfemployed or entrepreneur from their home based offices (“virtual assistants”).
The next step is to make survey of available softwares on the free market which are compatible
with SCORM format. Furthermore in this project phase will be designed the final template of
training structure, which will be developed in innovative training material for use by target group
which will consist of a number of training modules.

practices, and increase their staff’s expertise. It should make vocational education more
attractive to young people and by helping people to gain new skills, knowledge and
qualifications, the programme also boosts the overall competitiveness of the European labour
market.
