SESION 2 “SCHOOL OBJECTS“ LESSON PLAN 4
Timetable: Thursday, 3rd
September. FirstGradefrom 16.00 to 16.50.
Second Grade from16.50 to 17.30.
Trainees: Costoya, Cinthia; Much, Micaela Luján
Personal aims: Introducenew vocabulary aboutschool objects to the
students. Make the classes enjoyableso that the children are able to learn
through play. Provide a context for the new unit and engage the students
into meaningful activities.
Objectives: by the end of the lesson the students will be able to identify
some schoolobjects and say the objects words, recognizethem after
listening to them and therefore repeat the pronunciation of the new
words.
Language exponents
Vocabulary: bag, rubber, glue, pencil, book and ruler.
Prior knowledge:on the previous two units the children haveseen
numbers from1 to 10 and colours: autumn colours (red, orange, green,
brown, yellow) and winter colours (pink, blue, black, white, purple). We
will activate that vocabulary so that the students may useit.
Regarding this unit, the children have already worked with the first session
of unit 3 (Toys) and learned the toy words properly.

ACTIVITIES
WARM-UP
1. So as to introduce and presentthe new topic, “Schoolobjects”, wewill
show the kids some flashcards aboutthe objects to introduce the new
vocabulary (bag, glue, book, pencil, ruler and rubber).
2. Once they haveseen the words, wewill create a context for the new
knowledgeasking the students questions and interactive phrases, such
as “What’s in your bag?” or “What’son your desk?” ; “Show me your
pencil”; “Show me your English book. Whatcolour isyour book?”; so as
to make children realize they will learn the school objects they use
every day at schooland even at home.
3. By this time, children have learnt the new words, so wewill give them
a worksheetwherethey will have to find out which are the objects that
they encounter every day at school. After that, we will write on the
board all the elements the children havefound.

BODY OF THE LESSON
1. The students will solvean activity where they will have to listen and
match each object with their correspondentword. Thepupils will be
helped by the teacher who will show each flashcard after saying aloud
each object.
2. Then, the students will have to circle the correctoption; that is to say,
among differentwords, they will haveto circle the one which
corresponds to the image of each object.

FOLLOW-UP ACTIVITY
1. The children will make a sum. After counting, they will have to write
the resultin the space provided. Oncethe kids havefinished the
activity we will provide general feedback on the board.
