Challenges of the Professional Woman
Create and Live Your
Leadership Brand!
Myths and Beliefs
Ambition is a bad word
You have to manage to lead
You are there to be served
Speaking up is pushy or bitchy
It’s all about the bottom line
People are your greatest assets
Wearing your heart on your sleeve
is weakness
Men don’t want you at the table
You have to lead like a man

"The challenge of leadership
is to be strong, but not rude;
be kind, but not weak; be
bold, but not a bully; be
thoughtful, but not lazy; be
humble, but not timid; be
proud but not arrogant; have
humor, but without folly." –
Jim Rohn

I would love to see more women cross refer to each other, support each other, and sponsor
each other. Call it the good ol' girls club.
….Her incredible ability to be very clear with the goals and objectives of each key player in
the company.
Making the time for mentoring, sharing the invaluable experiences, encouraging and helping
others in pursuing their goals. Honoring, commitment, engagement, being professional.
Respect for everyone, no matter their position. Openness to talking about leadership
development. Mentoring. That's exactly what I like to see in male leaders as well.
I would like for leaders to lead in a way that everyone following is valued, included and
considered when the decision is finally being made. To be honest about it.
Female leaders who exude keen strategic business acumen, humility, selflessness, value
employee input, are willing to mentor, and are able to keep their composure under pressure.

  1. Animated mountain picture grows into view and shrinks (Advanced) Tip: This slide includes three small pictures and one large version of the top small picture. The small pictures are 1.88” high and 2.5” wide. The large picture is 7.5” high and 10” wide (the dimensions of the slide). Before following the procedures below, size each of the three pictures you will insert into the slide to 7.5” high by 10” wide. You will also need to use drawing guides to position your pictures on the slide. To display and set the drawing guides, do the following: On the Home tab, in the Slides group, click Layout, and then click Blank. Right-click the slide background area, and then click Grid and Guides. In the Grid and Guides dialog box, under Guide settings, select Display drawing guides on screen. (Note: One horizontal and one vertical guide will display on the slide at 0.00, the default position. As you drag the guides, the cursor will display the new position.)
