Taylor Swift's Bad
Blood with Spotify:
Taylor Swift has recently
stirred up the music industry
by taking a stand against the
popular streaming website,
Spotify. Swift said she feels
dissatisfied with the way in
which Spotify treats their
artists. She believes the
creditable music streaming
service does not give artists
proper recognition and
compensation for their hard
earned work. These feelings
Taylor has lead her to remove
all of her music off of
Spotify, leaving mixed
feelings among her fans,
Spotify users, and critics.
Taylor's Opinion
Taylor's reasoning for
taking this initiative is to be a
voice for the new artists
coming into the industry.
Taylor believes Spotify
mistreating their artists will be
detrimental for a new artist's
career. With a popular and
well-known artist like Swift
making only $125,000 a
month from Spotify for her hit
album, 1989, she fears for the
future of new artists. Artists
just starting out would not be
able to finance the rest of
thier careers with these low
profits.
Despite popular critics
beliefs, Taylor is acting
selfessly by supporting other
artists who need to further
their careers. Taylor
believes,"music is art, and art
is rare and valuable. Therefore
rare and valuable ideas should
be paid for." Swift hopes
Spotify gets her message and
begins to realize and respect
their artists worth.

NEW RELEASES
Coming into our 3rd month as a
recording stuio and production
company, Red Room Records is
about to experience new album
releases. Our first signed artist,
Kaitlyn McAuley, will be releasing
her debut album, and Red Room
Records first produced and
recording album. It is expected to
be out on May 20th. The tracklist
will include 12 songs, all written
by Kaitlyn through her own
personal experiences. We are
anxiously anticipating for all of
you awesome subscribers and the
world to hear it.
NEW ARTISTS
In other news, we have recently signed
4 more artists, including Maria
Kaganis, Antigone Thanasias, Gabriella
Osso, and Michaela Thomas. Maria is a
16 year old singer and songwriter from
Long Island, NY, Antigone is a singer
and guitarist from Bronx, NY, Gabriella
Osso is a singer-songwriter from
Yonkers, NY, and Michaela is an artist
from Hartford, Connecticut. We are
thrilled to add them to our Red

What's Going On at Red Room Records??
Artist of the MONTH
This May's Artist to Watch is 19 year old singer and songwriter,
Kaitlyn McAuley. Kaitlyn is currently a sophomore at Iona College studying
Biology. She first became acquainted with music in her hometown in
Wappingers Falls, New York. Growing up with her brother in a band, music
has always been an important aspect. Throughout her life she has always
been involved with music, whether it be learning to play various
instruments such as the guitar, drums, and bass, or attending events and
concerts.
Kaitlyn was the first artist to be signed by Red Room Records.
Starting her first year with us, she hopes she can build and further her
career through our production and recording company. Kaitlyn will be
releasing her first EP on May 20, 2016. Kaitlyn will also be touring her new
album in Summer 2016, starting June 2, 2016 in her hometown at The
Chance Theater in Poughkeepsie, NY. To receive more information on

Gig, debuting all of our artists. The Red Room Records
Concert will be held at Jones Beach Theatre on June 1,
2016 at 7PM. The event will include all 5 of our Red
Room Artists, such as Kaitlyn McAuley, Maria Kaganis,
Gabriella Osso, Antigone Thanasias, and Michaela
Thomas. The concert will include sign-up tables to join
our Red Room Records Team, refreshments, and
