Kristie L. Brady decided to get into real
estate to pay for her psychology degree
and earned her real estate license in 2011.
Upon entering the real estate profession
sheworkedparttimeandquicklyrealized
that there was much more to real estate than she thought.
As she became more and more invested in the business,
she learned just how much of a difference she could
make in people’s lives.
“I never planned to fall in love with real estate!” she
says. “Handing a person the keys to their future is
amazing!”
Kristie’s passion for helping people shines through
in her real estate practice. She recounts the story of a
client who was in the process of adopting two foster
children. She called Kristie because her landlord had
sold the home she rented without telling her. Kristie
found the family a home and says “When I got to hand
her the keys to her forever house, I remember watching
her drive away to get the girls and finish the adoption
process. There’s nothing like it!”
Kristie says those first years weren’t easy but she
powered through because she couldn’t get enough of
giving out those keys every month, so she decided to
make a career out of doing what she loved. When she
finally decided that she was ready to go full time, a
real estate veteran in the area gave her the best piece of
advice she ever got. “She told me ‘put on your name
badge and go to every social event in town. Talk to
everyone you see and be exactly who you are. Over
and over and over. Eventually people will realize that
you are trustworthy because you have been there, being
exactly who you are, over and over, and over.” She
advises novice agents to “believe in yourself. Don’t
just network. Get out there and make friends.”
Kristie Brady is now a proud member of Desert Sunrise
Rotary,LionsClub,andToastmastersInternational.She
supports non-profit organizations for cancer awareness
and child abuse. She says that “instead of just meeting
people, I have made great friends and spent time doing
great things.”
The REALTOR®
says her psychology background is
beneficial to her real estate career. “I’ve learned how
people think and am able to read between the lines.
After talking with a client, I can tell within five minutes
which house they will end up buying before we even
get there and I’m almost never wrong! In fact, my
family and I play a game where I have to buy the whole
family dinner if I’m wrong.”
What’s next for the REALTOR®
? Kristie has a radio
show coming out this year. She sponsors the college
football games every year and has decided to take up
the station’s offer to do a weekly radio show that will
broadcasteveryThursdaysat12:30pmon94.5FM.“I’ll
talk about our community. I plan to sponsor vendors
that I work with as guests so listeners will be able to
hear about the home buying process. I may showcase a
home each week. I want it to be a fun experience to get
the information out there so people know the process
doesn’t have to be as difficult as they think it is!” Kristie
says about her career, “I get to form relationships with
people and help make their dreams come true, whether
they’re achieving goals or investing in the future! It’s
important for clients to know that I always do the best
I can do!”
