About the organization
Vee events/Brand house is a small, private company, it is however very large to its clients.
We offer public relations, brand activation marketing, event planning, and rent decor. Vee
events was Established in the year 2004 it was then called Vee events but with time the name
changed to Brand House because Vee events did not seem to cover all the activities we are
now doing. The company does not cover just events so the name Vee events seemed to be
unsatisfactory as it seemed to cover only events. Our client’s are located both in the country
as well as outside the country so the company is called Brand House but the trading name is
Vee events.
I specifically asked Miss Cheka, the managing director of Brand house and my internship
supervisor what the mission statement of Brand House is and she stated that the Mission
statement is: “creating branded experiences in every aspect of the event, providing unique
and customized services from venue selection, decor and audio visual, corporate branding as
well as corporate identity”. She further stated that “we at brand house believe that the future
belongs to brands who can establish a foundation and process whereby precise market
researchers are undertaken in order to design, package and advertise the brand to the relevant
market.”
Miss Voeswa Cheka is the owner and managing director of Vee events/Brand House. Since
Brand house is a small public relations firm, the company uses all types of public relations
methods in every way. Brand house markets its services to clients by greatly depending upon
word of mouth.
Goals:
Planning and creating events and utilizing imaginative ideas to create dynamic
experiences.
Helping companies build their brand and connect with their customers to strengthen
relationships
Ensuring that the clients’ expectations are exceeded in the flawless staging of the
event, taking care of all the details so that the clients can have peace of mind.

Competition analysis.
Here is an analysis of some of Brand House competitors in the event planning market in
Lesotho. These competitors have all similar offers, services, strategies and objectives. This
also gave me a chance to navigate through different departments, including Marketing ,public
relations ,administration as well as event planning.
MY INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE
The reason I choose to follow an internship in a small private company is because I wanted to
benefit from the experience. I wanted a new and different challenge and, improve and
develop new sets of skills. In a small firm, the supervisor can look personally at my work and
therefore note my weakness and strengths
DAILY TASKS AND ACTIVITIES
During my internship at Brand House, I have worked on several tasks and activities. Brand
House projects and activities can be divided into daily tasks that involve office work, and the
on-site activities that have to be conducted at the actual events.
Daily tasks and activities included:
Searching and adding contacts to Google database

The tasks and projects that I have worked on during my internship can be divided into

I was personally involved in the day to day administration of the office which included
updating internal as well as external contacts adding contacts, updating the face book page;
networking is part of the everyday activity when working in event planning and public
relations. That is why information from business cards needs to be updated daily to maintain
the contact. I also updated the company website information on a daily basis. I was also
involved in working with the designing team.
During my internship, I had been assigned to work on a couple of projects and activities. My
specific projects consisted of the following:
I have written a marketing plan for the For Brand House, In this marketing plan, I described
how to market Brand House using social media. The marketing plan outlines the strategies
needed to be successful in promoting an event. It goes through the marketing process and
describes the necessary actions to improve and to achieve the objectives and goals.
Working on this marketing plan, I analyzed the company itself, the market and Brand House
target audience. I helped develop and determine objectives and the choice of the marketing
communication strategy.
During my internship, I have conducted surveys to research and evaluate the Brand House.
The survey is based on questioners of what our clients think about Brand house, how they
heard about our company and which online tools they use.

Based on the result of the survey, suggestions are going to be described on how to improve
Brand House.
The purpose of this research report is to evaluate and to improve the Brand House activities.
Advertising
I have worked in this area for a short period of time. For this area, I wrote suggestions on
how to re-design and advertise the website of Brand House creatively.
PR and media I have worked on this area constantly informing and promoting the target
group by sending email letters. As for the media, I constantly used social media tools to
inform and promote the target group by posting, and sending messages on Face book.
