2. Disease:
 Any abnormality of body structure & function.
 It may be caused by factors originally from an
external source, such as infectious disease.
 It may be caused by internal dysfunctions.

3.  Reddened and frayed fins.
 Disintegration of the fins.
 Rapid breathing.
 Abdominal swelling or bloating.
 Loss of appetite.
 Lethargic body.
Bacterial Disease:

4. Viral Disease:
• Gastrointestinal disturbances,
• Irritability
• Malaise (general ill feeling)
• Sneezing
• Swollen lymph nodes.
• Swollen tonsils.
• Weight loss.
• Yellowish or whitish eyes.

5.  Erratic swimming,
 Darting, scratching,
 Visible cotton-like tufts on skin,
eyes, or mouth.
 Fin and tail rot
 Hollow bellies
 Whitish or grayish growth on the
fins, tail, and skin

 Excess mucus or film on body,
 Visible spots or worms,

 Poor growth
 Muscular deformities
 Skeletal muscle abnormalities
 Hyperpigmentation, clouding, and
 hemorrhage of the eye.
Nutritional Disease:

8. The diseases are harmful for both wild &
cultured fishes of our country. It may cause a
heavy loss for commercially cultured fishes. So,
we should be known about the disease signs &
symptoms, so that we can easily find out the
proper treatment.
